Villa Alba - Ahangama

This is one of the best places we have ever been in all south Asia. Everything, from the surrounding marvellous garden, to the interior design and the architecture of the structure perfectly balanced with the wildness of the nature, to our room with the view on the rice fields and the plein-air bathroom... This place is a dream and the perfect location to relax, enjoy nature and be healed by the chorus of birds. Breakfast and dinner were fresh and delicious. The staff is always so nice and helpful, honestly they provide the best service possible. I would also like to mention the spa service: I had the best massage of my life with a true therapist who knows the massage techniques... I have never felt so good after a massage in my life! The hotel is just 5-10 min tuktuk ride from the main village and beaches. We are already planning our next trip here.

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa Alba in Sri Lanka! The location was perfect — just a short ride from the beach, yet tucked away from the noise, offering a peaceful and serene atmosphere. The villa itself is stylish and cozy, surrounded by lush greenery that gives you the feeling of being in the middle of the jungle. We often spotted peacocks, storks, and other adorable little animals roaming nearby, and the sound of birdsong added to the magical ambiance. The food was exceptional — prepared by a local chef using fresh ingredients, many of which came straight from the surrounding plantation. One dish that stood out was the jackfruit cutlets — absolutely delicious! The staff was incredibly polite and helpful, always making us feel welcome and cared for. We also enjoyed two wonderful massages during our stay — a truly relaxing experience. Our room was beautifully designed, with good air conditioning and a bathroom we especially loved, featuring panoramic glass that looked out into nature. There was a true sense of privacy and comfort — even though the villa was fully booked, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. The rooms are well-zoned, and we didn’t hear a sound from the neighbors. All in all, this place left us with such warm memories. We’ll definitely recommend it to our friends — and hopefully come back again ourselves someday.

The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, always ensuring that every need was met. One of the absolute highlights was the massage at the hotel – it was the best massage we have ever had! Big rooms with big windows. Outstanding view from the rooms. Quiet place and just 10 min away from hot spot Ahangama with surf beaches, bars, shops and restaurants. Extremely nice staff who can help you with everthing

This is a beautiful small property set a few kilometres inland from the bustle of Ahangama amongst the rice paddy fields. The rooms are amazing and at times you feel as though you are there on your own. The staff were also fantastic. There are no shops nearby so if you need anything you will need to arrange a TukTuk (staff can order one for you) to go into town. This didn't bother us as we were looking for a bit of luxury, peace and quiet at the end of our trip. The meals on site were great as well. Would highly recommend.

Amazing place! The rooms are so big and clean. The view from the room is incredible and the quiet makes the vacation so peaceful and pleasant. We fell in love with this place!

The food was not so good. It’s important to mention that it is better for people that drive motorcycles around because it can be annoying to wait for transport every time
