"A generous slice of rural heaven. Don't pass up this fabulous experience to relax and unwind."

Lovely peaceful rural location. Beautiful views of the valley. Clean and comfortable. Has so much to offer, we'd only scratched the surface during a short four-night stay. We would have to definitely visit again to experience more of the delights on offer. So much to love and appreciate. Just sitting outside on the terrace, so very peaceful. No noise from cars, planes, or trains. All you can hear is the charming bird chorus, while feasting your eyes on the beautiful views stretching as far as the eye can see. The wood log burner was a nice treat, adding to the charm and romance of the location. On the doorstep, almost literally, are several walks. We wished we had time to do them all. We did the one which passes by the quarry and goes into the woods. Really enjoyed this little adventure, which had everything, including a little detour to take in a charming little bridge straddling a gentle stream in the middle of the woods. Cannot recommend highly enough. The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well-equipped, and the shower is specious, powerful, and very satisfying. The bed is absolutely huge! Would definitely visit again.

Not a criticism as such, but something to be aware of when visiting rural Wales. The roads become increasingly narrow as you venture further away from the big cities and towns. Don't be concerned, though, there is no pressure to go fast. The 20 mph speed limit is pretty common. Plenty of passing places, and the local drivers are really helpful and courteous. They know where the passing places are like the back of their hand, and only too happy to reverse right away, if need be, to let you pass. On top of that, cars are generally pretty rare in those parts, it seems. Not unusual to drive for over half an hour in narrow country lanes, only to encounter no more than two or three other vehicles at the most. Just relax, go slow, go with the flow, and enjoy the scenery- it is all part of the charm of the experience.

The cottage was well equipped and had excellent wifi and television services. The kingsize bed was really comfortable. Jo was away at the time of our visit but regularly checked everything was okay by text. We were left in the very capable hands of Eliza who was very helpful and informative if needed. The grounds are stunning with lots of awesome views and plenty of places to explore.

The only thing I did not like was the fact I had only booked 3 nights.
