Cómodo apartamento en el centro - Gran Vía

Oh, for the days of airbnb owners that were local and came to welcome you when you rented their property. They showed you everything about the property and answered all your questions when you first arrived. But it seems that those days are long gone when it comes to these kinds of properties. At this particular property, the owner was not only completely absentee, I'm not even sure that they were anywhere in Spain. I received instructions on how to get into the property from the owner with maps, and strange pictures of a various app that was necessary to negotiate in order to get into the front door of the building of the property, and then again into the door of the apartment. This was completely a "Rube Goldberg" device that was far too complicated than just having the key available in a lock box at the property. While we were standing on the street and having trouble getting in , I was messaging her. I finally decided to just call her. And she even refused to answer her phone and said that she would not talk to me. OUCH! If after reading this you are still interested in this property, I will provide a review of it here: The good: *If you're looking for an apartment that is in the center of Madrid, a short walk to the Gran Via, lots of restaurants around, and also in the center of the gay area, this is your place. Many many things within walking distance, and the Metro is also short walk. *The apartment is small, but big enough certainly for two people, as we were. *The beds were quite comfortable. The Bad: * It has a very small hot water heater tank. Probably just 20 gallons or so. We were cautioned when we arrived that we would have to be very careful with the hot water and use it quite sparingly, as it would run out quickly, and would take two hours to recharge before another hot shower could be taken. Needless to say, it would have been nice to have known this before we booked the property.

Location

There are no windows in rooms, not everything working. For 9 days, they did not clean the room or even give us new towels and bed sheets. Even no toilet paper!
