ITVery spacious, great view and position
We went in early January and the house was freezing cold despite the AC.
USThe property is awesome and you will feel transported to a different place and time - but with modern amenities. There's a large lovely terrace with commanding views of the bay as well as the hills surrounding the property. The room is tastefully furnished - replete with period pieces like an old pedal driven Singer sewing machine. Tons of closet space and the room itself is huge. There's a fireplace in the living area with benches all around. Overall - a great place to hang your hat. Thanasis who owns and operates the place is a gracious and lovely host. We arrived on Christmas eve with kids and without a good idea where to dine. Thanasis went out of his way to call a couple local places and make a reservation at a spot with a special Christmas dinner - with live music and a great view. I learnt later that there is a word in Greek - Philoxenos (φιλόξενος) - which perfectly sums this up. Stay at Kamares - and enjoy. The parking is just fine - and last but not the least - be kind to the cute resident cats. My kids made me carry leftover meats from dinner - just so we could feed the cats. If you are traveling with kids who like animals - allocate a few HOURS to playing with the cats ;-).
