I Fichi D'India Rooms

Our spacious room featured a gorgeous terrace with a view of Stromboli in the distance. We ordered an excellent, reasonably priced wine from downstairs and enjoyed a spectacular sunset. The restaurant downstairs was family friendly, offered great value, and featured a large team of staff. While we enjoyed the pasta, the wood oven pizza looked wonderful, too. Overall, this was our favourite accommodation during our week in Calabria.

The area is more like a collection of hotels and restaurants than a true neighbourhood. Even so, it felt safe to walk the streets at night. The pristine Spiaggia di Grotticelle is only 20 minutes away by foot, albeit down a big hill. You can skip leg day after walking back up.

The B&B is located right above the quiet restaurant, it has a stunning view of Stromboli and they have loads of parking space. The host is super nice, the rooms exceptionally clean, well equipped and spacious. You can also leave the car parked there if you want to go to the stunning beach side (moving the car is not essential if you can endure a short walk!)
