Cozy 1 bedr apartment close to everything!

Lovely cosy basement flat in a very quiet area which is easily accessible by bus. Warm and comfortable with a drier which was very useful.

Very cozy rooms, underground, but really cozy, bus stop near house, comunication with staff was perfect, bus stop with bus every 5 min to center and Tromsdalen Kirke nearby..

The bed was a bit uncomfortable

You will be in the basement level of the host's house. The main area with the kitchen, living room, sofa bed, working desk, and small dinner table for two is the most cozy part. It is well heated and the floor is also heated. The Smart TV has Netflix already signed in (nice touch!) and the other streaming services you can use with your own account. Kitchen is well equipped for simple cooking and fridge is large enough for a couple/family. The bathroom is cold and the bedroom is a bit cool as well. Bedroom has a space heater that you can plug in for extra warmth. Huge plus that there is a big washing machine and dryer in the bathroom! Host is very responsive and was able to prepare our rooms to check in an hour early. Check in is easy and you have a separate entrance and full privacy. The location is a short walk from the famous church and 10 minutes away from the cable car with the best viewpoint towards Tromso and its surrounding mountains. The city center is a 5-10 min bus ride away by public bus across the bridge for around 50 NOK. Great value!

Mostly we enjoyed everything but some small improvements can go a long way: - Improved lightning in the living room. Maybe add a standing lamp next to the sofa - Providing tea and coffee for the kitchen would be going the extra mile - Putting a clamp-on toilet paper holder next to the toilet so the toilet paper doesn't have to sit on the floor - New drying rack since the one there is a bit broken down - Let guests know in the check-in message that there is a portable space heater for people who get cold

Ability to see local neighbourhood. Uber driver had lived red house a street over for 40 plus years. So was nice to experience a few days in quiet area, then of being in a noisier busy hotel in main Tromso.

Was very good in all aspects, other than distance from city centre. Was fine for us, although bit rushed in cold wind over bridge walk as well away from tour pickups etc. We did walk in 2 times to centre. We liked the location away, was a supermarket very close by.
