Little gem by the sea

The name of the place is perfect, because it really is a little gem! It felt like being on a boat - it's small, but there is everything you might need, it's beautifully laid out and designed and I just felt at home. The hosts were extremely helpful and friendly, I found a home-made cake on arrival, and towards the end of my stay the hostess even baked me a traditional pie. The place is ideal for one person, but also good for two. The garden is delightful. Having a washing machine was very convenient. The AC was a blessing. The sea front is about 2 minutes away and there are lots of lovely restaurants along the front. The port is also easy to walk to and has a wonderful atmosphere.

There's very little I didn't like. If I had to name one thing is that since the garden is shared, it sometimes felt a little bit awkward to use it, but if you don't have my hang-ups, it's a wonderful place to hang out, rest, read or just enjoy the peace. Not really related to the place, but I wanted to mention that although there is a beach just a few minutes away, it's really not the nicest beach Crete has to offer, so if you have a car, take the opportunity to explore!

The apartment is in a great location near a beach and only steps away from the old town. Very clean, well-equipped and good air conditioning. Nice small patio with a drying rack that comes in handy for the beach gear. Parking space in the street in front of the apartment was available most of the time which is not a given so near the old town. Good communication with the owner via the spp and phone.

For a longer stay it could feel a bit too tiny, especially the kitchen and the shower but for a night or two it’s fine. The other guests kept their apartment door open while cooking and then it felt like they in the same room as the apartments shared the same entryway. Otherwise there was no noise from the street or elsewhere.

Perfect location. Steps away from the sea and a short 10 min or less walk into the old town. Close to restaurants and markets and anything you could need. The place is stylish and full equipped with all the little touches to make you comfortable. The garden was an extra treat. I did yoga every morning in the sunshine. The host was also very special she baked several treats for me and went above and beyond to make me comfortable. Would recommend this place to solo travelers as it’s perfect size for 1 maybe 2 if you don’t plan to stay inside too much.

The location, apartment's facilities and especially its garden were just amazing. The Little gem is a very cosy and comfy place literaly foot steps away from the sea. The apartment has everything you need for your stay with great and helpful hosts. We fully recommend it.

Everything was perfect! A beautiful room with an open garden and close to the old port. Going everywhere on foot. The hospitality was mesmerised!

The hosts were wonderful..very attentive and let us check in early. The apartment was very clean and modern. Very bright and lots of lights. The bed was very comfortable.

There is only one window so though the apartment is very well lit, there is not much natural light. The outdoor area is shared with the adjoining apartment.
