VB Goya 7BR Andalusian Villa by the marina

contact from Solana was spot on, met our party at the villa which was in a fantastic location, clean and had everything we required, would highly recommend staying here.

All was good.

A group of us stayed in the villa for a week in September with a small child. The villa is in a great location with only a 5 minute walk to the beech and marina and 10 minutes to the local Lidl supermarket. The villa was clean and equip with everything we needed for our stay. The pool is a nice size and surprisingly deep, around the pool are eight sun beds and a parasol, although it could do with a few extra parasols. There is also a garden to the front which is private and some of the guests used it for exercise and yoga. There is a driveway and garage accessed via an electric gate but this is quite narrow so anything other than a small / medium car may be difficult to park but there is plenty of on street parking which is free for larger vehicles. The communication was good and we would definitely stay again.

The location fantastic. The size of the property suited our family having 7 bedrooms & also having a pool.

We felt the overall cleanliness was poor. There was a lack of maintenance around the property, there were condensate leaks from AC units, 2 from bedroom units and one unit not working in the lounge area. One bathroom shower unit overflowed when used another the screen fell off onto one of the children. The kitchen dishwasher didn’t wash effectively, on arrival we found cutlery and plates etc. with stale food debris. Only one working parasol and poor quality Sun loungers, cracks and tiles missing around the pool. Difficult communication from booking to check out.

This villa is lovely, clean, and in a great location.

I found the communication from the property Owner poor. I asked for an early check in multiple times, I recieved no definite answer. The pool was in my opinion, not clean. One of the downstairs rooms were swarmed with ants, when I queried they said it was due to food. This was strange to me as we're a group of 6 adults and 8 kids (which i specified on the booking) nowhere did it mention not to bring food to the room and as you can imagine small kids tend to bring snacks where they go. we had food in the kitchen, obviously and there were no ants... This was all fine until we checked out, our security deposit of € 1000 was returned, and then a few days later I was charged €150.00 When I asked what the charge was for, i had to contact them numerous times to get a response. Eventually, I was sent photos of a towel in the pool and the top of the pool cleaning pole at the bottom of the pool and the net by the poolside... a cleaning fee was included in our booking and I am confused as to how it would cost €150 to rectify this... when i asked them to elaborate on pricing, they then added some extra things; garage remote broken (never used the garage) signs of a party... (8 kids and 6 adults, as you can imagine, absolutely nothing even remotely close to a party went on) The most frustrating thing about this is that it took multiple messages and phonecalls to get an answer from them. We paid an extra €80 for 2 cots and 2 high chairs ... (high chairs were broken ) In my opinion, the 150.00 charge was unreasonable. I would have fished those things out of the pool myself but one of the kids must have done it and I didn't notice. I'm just very disappointed, having organised the trip I feel as though i picked the wrong property, not suitable for kids as they clearly can't accommodate for them... For these reasons, I would not recommend, this property unfortunately. Better communication and legitimate extra charges is what I would reccomend.
