La casa del Geko rosa

Nous avons été très bien accueillis. La maison est un peu compliqué à trouver, le GPS ne conduit pas à la bonne adresse. Le propriétaire est venu à notre rencontre sans problème. L'appartement était propre, les lits confortables. Très bien situé pour visiter Pise et Lucca.

L´indirizzo presente non é del tutto corretto: il numero civico é sbagliato e abbiamo perso tempo, anche perché le strade del quartiere sono strette e in salita (o discesa). Il proprietario ci ha chiesto di aspettare che lui arrivasse sul posto (un´ora abbondante) per fare la registrazione: al mio poco entusiasmo ha risposto dicendo che potevamo scrivere i nostri dati su un foglio. C´era aria di chiuso, aria viziata nell´appartamento. La pulizia era sicuramente accettabile ma non del tutto curata. La dotazione della cucina é molto limitata: poche pentole, padelle ecc.. Il posto auto é stretto e in forte salita (comunque é gratis...); senza posto auto sarebbe stato praticamente impossibile parcheggiare vicino.

The location of the house is truly beautiful — surrounded by nature and right by the mountains. It’s a peaceful and scenic setting, ideal for those looking to disconnect and enjoy the outdoors. The host was responsive and sent improved directions via WhatsApp, which helped us find the property.

The house was quite difficult to reach, and the directions on Google Maps were unclear. It would be helpful if the online directions were updated. The kitchen was poorly equipped — there was no frying pan, and the kitchenware provided was minimal, especially for a house meant to host four people. The sofa was small and uncomfortable, barely fitting two people. There were no modern conveniences such as a dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, or even a kettle. The pillows were uncomfortable, and the blankets were old and worn out. Overall, although the house is nicely renovated, it lacks the furnishings and amenities needed to make a comfortable stay for four guests.
