"Disappointing - unwelcoming, cold and uncomfortable."

5.0

Location superb. Character property. Spotlessly clean. Well renovated internally. Comfortable bed. Owner very helpful re dysfunctional shower, which was 'sorted' quickly

Was cold (even in July) with gas fire switched off by owners and central heating limited to a maximum of 21°C (which it never reached) - when paying over £1000 per week I don't really expect to have my heating rationed. Dim and poorly placed lighting. Tiny TV with no terrestrial channels. Garden neglected and unwelcoming. Toilet opens directly on to kitchen, which is potentially unhygienic, especially as no soap was provided in the toilet in question. Party wall thin, and nextdoor neighbours audible ...and they have a drum kit (which was, thankfully, little used during our stay!). Inadequate kitchen storage for food. No tin opener. Roof apparently leaks in heavy wind and rain ...not when we were there but had it done so we were kindly provided with written instructions re location of mop and bucket and how to use them.

"It was really a pleasure to stay in this wonderful and cosy house."

10.0

Everything was really very, very nice. The house, the location and our hosts. John and Fatima were very nice and good reachable hosts. We would love to come back one day.
