"Unsanitary, dirty, no running ac, broken shower head, and an unhelpful host. DO NOT STAY HERE."

It was dirty, unsanitary, and had no running ac. There were moldy condiments, a note on the shower head referring to it being “shady”, bug traps in the kitchen, stained pillows, a dirty refrigerator, non running ac wall units that were filthy, I could go on. When I contacted the host Holly she did nothing to ensure I get my full refund. We didn’t even check in, we walked into the property and saw the conditions, we took pictures and immediately left. This property needs to be TAKEN OFF BOOKING

"Do not be fooled by the photos - place is disgusting"

Owner was very responsive leading up to our stay. We were able to get in no problem. That's where it all unraveled.

Our experience with this rental in Pittsburgh was extremely disappointing. The property was filthy upon arrival—there were dead bugs on the kitchen counter and inside all of the ceiling light fixtures. The bathroom had black mold in the tub, and the floors throughout the home were clearly not mopped and felt dirty underfoot. The shower head even had a note on it that read, “very shady shower head, don’t adjust, pipes shifting,” which was alarming. The kitchen was just as bad—the stove had crumbs and stains all over it, and the dish drain was a rusted pan. There were also visible stains on the bedding. The floors were covered with multiple area rugs that seemed to be an attempt to hide their poor condition, but it was still obvious how unclean and worn everything was. The ceilings were falling apart and the "private garden" was nothing more than 2 feet of overgrown weeds that you couldn't walk through. The listing photos were extremely deceiving and did not reflect the true state of the property at all. We felt the space was unsafe, especially for our children, so we requested a refund and left immediately. After driving over six hours to get there, we then had to scramble to find a last-minute hotel and spend additional money we hadn’t planned for. The owners initially said they would refund us, but have since stopped responding entirely, and no refund has been issued. Even Booking.com has been unable to reach them. This was a very frustrating and stressful experience, and I would strongly caution others before booking this property.

Location was pretty central but that is the ONLY decent thing about this property

It stinks really bad & is really dirty. We found a closet with the pillows & blankets on the floor. The floor had not been cleaned. Dirt and debris covered the floors, countertops & bathtub

"Overall reasonable option for a small group/family"

1) Holly was prompt in following up when we were not able to enter the property upon arrival. 2) The 2 bedrooms are good sized and 6 adults could sleep comfortably. 3) Apartment is near the Water Front shopping area. 4) Plenty of street parking.

1) Pre check-in instructions were not at all clear about which entrance to use and what were the correct pin codes for the door locks. 2) The front porch had no lights and so it was difficult to figure things out upon arrival. 3) Low ceiling in the bathroom makes it difficult to use the sink and the shower. 4) The space on either side of the AC in the kitchen/dining area was not properly sealed due to which bugs were coming in. This was specially a concern because of the current infestation of the Spotted Lanternfly in the Pittsburgh area. 5) Blankets, pillows, etc. were stored on the floor in the bedroom closet. 6) The mattress was sagging and should be replaced with a new firm one.
