The Mine at Bear Lake

Thank you for authorizing us to check out at 11am on our last day instead of the 10am. That really helped us. Also, I appreciate that the maintenance person (I think his name is Joe) allowed us to run back in a few minutes after 11am so I could log out of our "Hulu" account we used. I had forgotten to do this until we were driving away, and he called back after I left a message that morning, and said it was okay to go back in and log out. I appreciated his quick response.

I would suggest an 11am check out time for all tenants in the future. That time seems to be a standard check out time. A few of the beds seemed to have pretty worn-out mattresses. The internet did not have a very strong signal and we were unable to stream a game that we had planned to watch.

The location was great. The views were very pretty.

The views were amazing and the cabin was beautiful. Great kitchen and plenty of room for all to sit. Loved sitting in the hot tub under the stars. The host was very responsive to questions. Very detailed instructions. We used the cabin for a ladies retreat.

The cabin isn't very accessible for older folks. There is no railing on the first set of steps to get to the house, and most of the sleeping rooms are upstairs. I should have added a filter for accessible cabins when I did a search for properties. The beds were not comfortable for adults. I misunderstood the number of beds. I thought three bunk beds meant three sets of bunk beds, not three mattresses.

The view was amazing! The sleeping accommodations were sufficient for our group. Great dining area. Kitchen well stocked. Nice hot tub.

Sharing bathrooms got a little tricky. Only one bathroom had shampoo and conditioner with soap in the shower area. The others did not.

We had a great stay, both kids and adults enjoyed our time. Kids had a blast with lots of play options, including the little one who loved the little shaft room by the door. So cute! Lots of seating options both inside and outside. The house and outside terraces were clean and the scenic views of the Bear Lake and mountains were amazing. Jacuzzi was also great. Watching the stars while in the jacuzzi was a great show. As well as watching the sun rise the next morning from the terrace! We all loved our stay and will return back for sure. The owner was so responsive and answered all our questions promptly. Thank you!

Beautiful property, amazing views, great accommodations. Loved the Jacuzzi. Landscaping would improve property for sure. Great for groups. Comfy couch. Nice bathroom decor. The property makes for easy vacationing. Thanks so much❤️

Queen beds didn’t allow for adult good quality sleep. Kings suggested. Hauling luggage & supplies up stairs and gravel is a lot if work. Wish there was a easier entrance option.

The Mine is located high up on the hillside and the pictures on the website do not do it justice as all windows and the large decks have breathtaking, panoramic views of Bear Lake and the surrounding mountains. The property sits at the base of many ATV trails, is super close to Bear Lake Marina & water sports, and all of the attractions in town. We enjoyed off road riding, golfing, North Bear State Park in Idaho and bringing food back to the house to enjoy meals and the view together. One of the reasons I selected The Mine is because the bedrooms are set up for adults and children too. Many of the other Bear Lake properties for rent have too many bedrooms full of bunk beds. My son and DIL have a toddler and an infant, they were comfortable in the largest room with a bunk bed. Everyone else in our group were 6 adults / tall teenagers so I appreciated that we were all comfortable in queen beds. Loved the hot tub!
