The tranquility

When it became dark there was no lighting either on the lodge or pathways

Clean, cosy and had everything we needed for a weekend retreat.

Nothing really, through an outside light would have been nice.

not a lot

Pictures do not give a true like to the 'lodge' which is a term I would use very loosely as more like a shack. Keys were just left in the door with it all open. We had no hot water, no response from the host when tried to contact them, front door didnt fit properly so a big gap in between the doors which the wind blew through and 2 people unable to sleep in a bed that sloped into the middle so ended up on top of each other. Not as advertised. So bad we left at 1.30am and drove home. Not worth £133 we paid!!!

Nice location by lake, very cosy. Cool biscuits and oat milk.

The smell from the toilet was awful. Missing toilet roll holder. Noisy animals at dawn as well as workers building nearby. Everything wobbles when you walk.

Beautiful location by the lake and comfortable accommodation.

Nowhere to hang anything up - needed hooks. Venetian blind hard to untangle. Site could have benefited from a few solar lights to illuminate oath to showers / toilets
