Communication between host and booking.com was terrible. The property management lacks accountability and extremely hard to get hold of until you get a direct phone number for a staff member within the company. First impressions were terrible. I had scheduled an early checkin and when arriving at 13:00 I was told to come back at 15:00. Upon arrival I had to wait in the reception till 16:30 and after giving a complaint call I was greeted by a staff member who had taken me up to my room. The room was filthy with hair all over the place and unsanitary conditions. I was promised a tv within my room to find no tv, my view of the beautiful table mountain was hidden by the massive concrete bollard outside the window. The cupboards were dusty, the fridge stank like fish and to top it all off I was left with a 1/4 used water bottle with dishwasher soap in it to “wash my dishes”. After complaining I was assured I would have a new place the next day, communication wasn’t the greatest and I had to do all the chasing up and become a “Karen” in order to get through to someone. I was then moved to foreshore place 50M down the road and most certainly enjoyed my stay from there on out. Foreshore place is a beautiful studio apartment space with beautiful views, tv that I was promised from Booking.com and a nice lounge area. Only irritant from Foreshore place was the drywalling used to separate apartments, “you could hear every single conversation your neighbors had + the endless partying ever weekend extending to 6am was a buzz kill”, however security would act swiftly to put that to an end when called.

Terrible. The fact that booking.com allows listings to list amenities that are not there is simply disgusting. Promises of changed bedding doesn't come to fruition. They take your money and go. Book in and check out times aren't followed. One thin blanket. Missed the comfort of my own home from day 1. Also missed the customer service that UberEats and Airbnb provides.
