Oasis Motel - waiouru

Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable bed - we both slept well. Surprisingly quiet considering it's on State Highway 1 - we didn't hear much traffic noise. Good free wifi. good value. While the property could do with a paint job to freshen up - it didn't worry us as the property was clean and comfortable.

The milk in room was old - best before date was 5 months ago and only looked at the date after making a hot drink and it turned to clumps in the coffee.

There was no hot water to have a shower. There was no small face cloth or hand towel There was no fridge no rubbish bin

Sheets and bedding appeared to be clean, comfortable bed.

The bathroom was dirty, shower had mold around corners and plug hole. Paint scraped off the doors and cupboard. The PIN number given for the front entrance didn’t always work , so you had to go into the bar and go through a dark manky hallway to get to your room. The whole room could have done with a good scrub/disinfect and luxing. The view from the windows that wouldn’t shut properly was of broken pallets, broken down sheds. Out the back door was a chained up dog, not looking happy. Everything was run down and in need of a makeover to bring it up to a healthy standard. We coughed and sneezed all night.
