K2 Lembeh Dive Resort

Food is very good and the place is 100% focussed on diving. Staff is welcoming and friendly.

We would like to have a beachfront instead of a ship graveyard in front of the hotel. Chairs and bed are not very comfortable. Staff had difficulty finding nice snorkeling sites. We had to convince them to go away from the harbor to the north where it actually was beautiful.

Great muck diving, fantastic instructors, delicious food and owners go all the way to make the stay comfortable. Man and Vicky and Avon are great instructors and turned us into muck diving enthusiast.

Staff was amazing ! The couple in the kitchen was so nice, food was the best we had during our whole stay. We even had a special cake to celebrate our 100th dive! The dive team was exceptional, Man and Piky helped us see the most amazing stuff. Definetely among the best dives we ever had. Room is nice as well, AC really useful.

We really enjoyed our stay which was the best we had in Indonesia. Bathroom could use some renovation, and ideally, a pool could be great, but it was really perfect already

We had an excellent 7 night stay at K2 Lembeh. The owner and the staff are outstanding. Sharon, the owner, communicated in a timely manner, answering all questions before we arrived, and then helping with arrangements during our stay via WhatsApp. Irra, who is in charge of the house and restaurant staff, was efficient and conscientious and very kind. She took care of all the details and even arranged for me to accompany her on a shopping trip to a huge market in Bitung on a day I was not able to dive. It is one of my trip highlights. Man, who is in charge of overall operations, and the dive experience, could not have been any more helpful. From arranging the details of our transportation, to taking me, after hours, into Bitung to see a doctor for an ear infection (he made the appointment, guided me to it, and stayed with me to help me figure out what was needed), to directing our dives, he always went above and beyond. You can tell that he takes pride in the operation and is very conscientious about making each guest’s stay a good experience. Fiki, our dive guide, was one of the best I have had. He was excellent at finding all those cool Lembeh Strait critters, and I also always felt very safe diving with him as he was always aware of us in the water, and was encouraging and thoughtful to me, a still slightly uncomfortable diver. The food was delicious—lots of local dishes, lots of vegetables and fresh fish. It is served as a buffet in an open area with a stunning view down the hill and to the Strait. There are a lot of steep stairs up to the dining area, but we did not mind them. The guests shared a table for meals which I really liked, as we met so many interesting travelers. The cabins are spacious, with a deck and a fine view, AC that works well, and your own carboy of water, with both hot and cold-water options.

Not really a criticism, but a heads up: K2Lembeh is definitely place for divers. There would not be a lot to do if you are not a diver. I did take a remarkable walk up to the road and then up and down a series of hills to a couple of villages on the Island on the days I could not dive. It was one of my most memorable experiences. You don’t get the impression that many tourists walk into the village and I got there just as school was getting out. I have never felt so welcomed anywhere! It was a beautiful experience.

Everything in K2 Lembeh Dive Resort was fantastic: the dive guides were incredible skillful, the boat captain, the food was incredible… I would really recommend it.
