Little Fairy Home B&B

Our host, Rijab, honestly made our whole stay. From the start he was super welcoming, always checking in to make sure we were comfortable, and he made everything so stress free. He even arranged our transport from Colombo to Arugam Bay and back, which saved us a lot of hassle. Everything was smooth and organised from start to finish. The room itself was great for three people. The room was spacious enough and super comfortable. The AC worked really well (which honestly was a lifesaver in Arugam Bay, ‘cause we definitely needed it for our preference). It made coming back to the room after being out in the heat so much better. What also stood out was how thoughtful Rijab was . One night my friend wasn’t feeling well, and he came with medication plus lime soda, which helped her feel better quickly. Little things like that really made a big difference. If you want a place where you don’t have to worry about a single thing, this is definitely it.

Honestly, we don’t have a single bad thing to say about our experience. Between the comfy room and the incredible hosting, our trip felt easy, stress free, and really enjoyable. Highly recommend staying here!

Abbiamo trascorso un soggiorno molto piacevole. La posizione è perfetta: in una zona tranquilla, ma a pochi minuti a piedi dalla via principale, quindi comoda per spostarsi senza rinunciare alla quiete. Uno dei punti forti è sicuramente il cortile interno, chiuso e molto riservato, ideale per rilassarsi. È ben attrezzato con cucina comune, amaca e chaise longue, oltre a essere ben illuminato e funzionale. La camera era in ordine e conforme alla descrizione. Un ringraziamento speciale all'host, sempre disponibile e gentile: ci ha aiutato a organizzare tour, noleggiare lo scooter e ci ha procurato tutto il necessario quando richiesto. Consigliatissimo per chi cerca un soggiorno rilassante ma comodo.

La camera si trova al piano terra: comoda e conforme alla descrizione. Va però tenuto presente che, trattandosi di una struttura immersa nella natura, non è raro trovare qualche animaletto (rane, insetti, ecc.) — nulla di problematico, ma da considerare se si è particolarmente sensibili a questo aspetto. C'è vicina anche una moschea, quindi si sente il richiamo alla preghiera al mattino.

Petit chalet propre et climatisé à l'écart de l'agitation de la rue principale tout en étant très proche, ainsi que de la plage. Petit déjeuner délicieux et inventif. Fourniture de services sur demande (scooter, tuk tuk, taxi...)

Aménagements un peu rudimentaires.

We had a great time staying here, the atmosphere was brilliant. Having the kitchen and shared space was also a massive bonus 😃 Sam the owner was super helpful, and really helped us out with onward travel and things to do while staying in the area. Location is really good as you can easily walk to everything but it’s just set back enough that you don’t get disturbed on the party nights in town.

Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und hygienisch. Es liegt etwas hinter der Hauptstrasse daher ist es sehr ruhig aber trotzdem Zentral. Die Küche kann man jederzeit nutzen und sie hat jeden Equipment das man brauchen kann. Wenn man die Unterkunft mit Frühstück bucht bekommt man ein Individuelles Frühstück frisch gemacht zu einer beliebigen Zeit. Der Vermiter ist sehr bemüht und kümmert sich zm alles sehr zuverlässig. Wir würden definitiv wieder kommen!

Nichts

I had three wonderful days in Arugam Bay! You stay in a beautiful garden and it is very quite at night. For reaching the Beach or the Main Road it is Only a few minutes Walk. When I arrived, the Room was very clean and offered everything, you need, Even adapters for electronical devices! The bed was also very comfortable. I rented the Room with fan and therefore it is very good to have a mosquito net with you. If you don‘t have one, the Manager will give it to you! :-) The price-Ratio Performance in Little Fairy Home is excellent! But far the Best for me were the friendliness and the generosity of Sam, who is the Manager. I accidently booked my room without breakfast and he gave me breakfast for free! Also he allowed me to leave my things in the Hotel and Even shower there again after my checkout, because I had to wait a few Hours for the taxi and wanted to go to the Beach. I can also highly recommend to accept his offer to arrange Trips for you! Thanks to Sam I had an amazing Surfing lesson, a great Safari to Kumana Nationalpark and a very comfortable shared Taxi Ride to my next destination. Thank you for everything! :-)

I liked it a Lot in Little Fairy Home, but please keep in mind, if you want to Book it, that because of the beautiful garden there are more insects and animals in General than in a „normal“ Hotel. If you are Fine with that, it is a great place to stay!

Quiet location off the hussle and beach party street. Breakfast to measure with vegan and vegetarian option. If I were a 20 year old solo surf traveler, it would have been okay.

The place was dirty and not well maintained. There were no mosquito nets - the only time in the whole country. The staff kept on asking for prepayment - also the only time in the whole country. The bathroom was kind of to be avoided. Cockroaches running wild inside. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and very squeaky, such a disappointment after two lovely weeks travelling to the best locations around. Cheap pillows and dito mattress. Fungus in the bathroom and on the ceiling. One of our rooms had a fake ceiling which made it so low we barely could stand up straight. The bathroom looked like an outdoor shower. So our daughter decided to sleep either us instead. There was no way to make the booking undone - also the only hotel in Sri Lanka… The shared kitchen was pretty dirty too, tables for breakfast never cleaned, the stains of the day before were still there. Besides the very poor accommodation, the laundry service messed up so many clothes and brought it back with more stains than before. So once again, with low expectations it’s probably a nice place, but for me not worth the money.

Little Fairy is the best place to stay in Arugam bay. I have been travelling Sri Lanka for 3 months. I honestly had the best night sleep it is so quiet and peaceful yet a few minutes walk from the main town. Sam is so helpful and friendly and I have made a friend for life.

I had an extraordinary beautiful stay at Little Fary hotel. The atmosphere is great, I got in tough with the other guests in the relaxing communal kitchen and still it is a quiet place. We share some food and have coffee together. The owner is very kind and likes to help and even showed me you around the Arugambay. Thanks and hope to find time to come back one day.
