Pimienta 9- Santa Cruz Luxury by Valcambre

Great hosts as they communicated with us thoroughout the entire booking process right up to our early arrival. Location is fantastic and right next to the Cathedral and Real Alcazar palace. Our unit was on the 2nd floor with a large sized elevator in the building. Lots of space inside the unit which was very clean and modern. My teenage daughter loved her loft upstairs bed and private bathroom and shower. It was too cold for us to use the outside patio and swimming pool but it looked very nicely designed. There was a tiny bit of street noise from partygoers at times overnight but overall the unit was quiet. Beds are firm but still comfy.

Tiny bit of a smelly odor in the main floor bathroom when you turned on the light/fan, and couldn't fully open the window to improve airflow in that bathroom.

Really good location in the heart of old Seville. Close to all the tourist things to see, and close to great food. Internet was good.

The photos shown are not representative of the flat that my friend and I shared here. We had a flat on the ground floor, it was very dark and small. There were two ‘rooms’. 1. The room with the door was so small, there was barely enough room to walk around it. There was no space to put any clothing or personal items. I had to have my suitcase in the kitchen. No place to hang any clothing as well. I stole a few hangars from the other room and used the back of the doors. The bathroom in this room was small, but manageable. Good luck trying to shave your legs in the shower though- no room to bend over. 2. The second ‘room’ in the main space had more room to breathe and could actually move around in it. It had a place to hang stuff with a little dresser next to the bed for personal items. The bathroom was more roomy and shower had a bit more space to work with as well. We stayed for 5 nights, and after two nights we asked if we could get some fresh towels and our garbages changed (especially in the bathroom since you cannot flush the toilet paper). They said no, and that garbage was our responsibility (??). They also said they don’t do any service for short term stays, which I thought was a little unreasonable. I also asked for more toilet paper, which for some reason required multiple back and fourth messages, when finally they gave us paper towel. They also do not give extra coffee which was a bit harsh in my opinion. The place is expensive, you’d think they could give some coffee and toilet paper. Also, the beds were hard and not comfortable with only 2 pillows for each bed. Only one towel per shower room, which again. For this much money you’d think you could have a few more towels and pillows. Overall, I was pretty bummed out about this hotel pick and would not recommend this place to anyone.

The smell of sewer in the bathroom. The awkward living room/ kitchen layout/ was not meant for 4 really.

Location was good. Lift is convenient

There is no natural light on the property. For stays of over 1 day this is a problem. Place smells bad. Water heater is very loud. There is no cleaning utensils (broom for example).

Close to major attractions.

The noise from the street was bothersome. You need reinforced glass in bedroom facing the street!

It is practically a scam. Instead of creating an entry for each of their flats in the same building they have one which is this Pimienta 9. But don’t be fooled they have at least 4 flats in the building yet most of the photos are from the sunny 3 bedroom top floor flats. While there is a drop down menu that gives the choices of each flat, if you don’t pay attention to this menu , you end up like us, thinking that you rented the flat in the 80% of the photos and getting a dark, tiny basement flat
