"Bring your own water"

8.0

The location was perfect for what we were planning on doing throughout our stay.

The kitchen counter had tiny ants on it throughout our stay. I kept wiping them up. The water was really bad. It smelled like rotten eggs. Thank goodness we bought our own water to cook with and brush our teeth. Didn't do laundry because we didn't want our clothes to smell like rotting eggs. When taking a shower, we had to do it fast because the smell was really bad. But you didn't smell like rotten eggs when you were done. you just didn't feel clean. We didn't use the fire pit because it was located in the back of the house, and there was no access to get in to the house from the back. And that area is known for bears. When we got there, the dumpster was tipped over the guy that came to fix it, told us that the Bears do that.

"It felt like a small piece of my childhood- a gentle reminder of my grandma’s house. My child was excited the entire tim"

10.0

We love the yard- it’s quiet, with a beautiful view of the forest and a small mountain. There’s plenty of space for children to explore and discover nature. From the dining table by the cottage window, especially after the rain, we watch hummingbirds drinking nectar and water. It’s a peaceful spot with a cozy chair and a fire pit where we roast potatoes in the coals. A wonderful place for children, especially for those who have never seen a forest and live in the city. Cozy home. I felt me there like at home and my child did not want to leave it.

Inside the house, I found some spiders - you have to be ready for that. They didn’t bother us, and we didn’t bother them. People just need to understand that it’s a real house in the woods, so you might come across different types of insects. But my child was actually happy about it (unlike me!).
