Shannon River House & Gardens

This home was such a hidden gem! We rather last minute booked it for 3 nights and boy are we glad we did. The beauty of this home and garden is amazing and yet it is still so close to the city center of Limerick. Though you can easily grab an Uber we opted to walk just as it was a nice area to do so. As a guest you get full use of a kitchen, living room, gardens etc. We often brought back a bottle of wine and enjoyed sitting in the garden with the dogs and watching the swans on the Shannon. We had such peaceful nights' sleep (it was so quiet) which was impressive being so close to the city. Marc, owner, was so so friendly and clearly cares so much about the property, the experience, and the comfort of the guests. We absolutely loved the pet donkeys and dogs. A real treat this spot, can't wait to stay again!

A step back in time with small details from times past kept, but modern things added. Amazing place to stay.

Mark is the best host we ever had. He is a very easy-going and kind person, always checking whether we were comfortable. The mansion is magnificent, this the most Irish experience we could have. Do save one day for exploring its gardens and relaxing on the backyard. Additionally, you’ll have the best fluffy neighbours with tails - amazing dogs and donkeys. Do not forget to prepare some snacks for them.

J’ai adoré vivre dans cette demeure qui respire l’histoire. Les meubles anciens, l’argenterie… Mark est vraiment très accueillant et on se sent libre de profiter des parties communes et du magnifique jardin. La salle de bain privative de la chambre rose est magnifique et toute neuve. La couette en plumes était super agréable. La vue géniale.

Les rénovations sont en cours. Et il y a beaucoup à faire. Donc nous n’avons pas pu entrer dans l’église qui se trouve sur le domaine. Une bonne partie du domaine est impraticable car en friche.

Los dueños eran súper agradables. Tuvimos un problema con la reserva y nos ayudaron en todo momento. Las instalaciones son súper tranquilas. La cama es muy cómoda y no hay nada de ruido por las noches. Las vistas desde la casa son espectaculares. Esta muy cerca del aeropuerto de Shannon , a unos 20 min y a unos 10 del centro de Limerick.

No hay pestillo en las puertas. Hay que ser consciente que estás en medio del campo por lo que hay insectos.
