It was just average

Both of the girls who worked the front desk were rude. I thought I was getting a room with 2 beds. The night shift desk clerk rudely told me that's not what I booked. She did waive the $4 price difference however. The next morning I went into the office and heard the day shift clerk talking about people who book the cheaper room then want 2 beds.

Witnessed 2 drug buys in the parking lot in less than 30minutes with the occupant of the house next to motel, decided to leave for safety since the first car of men decided to pull up behind me then beside me when I was trying to unload our vehicle. Jules the front desk clerk said she would need to talk to her manager in the morning regarding a refund. I called in the am, manager not there yet and had never tried to contact me. I will keep trying to get in touch with her.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I liked that there was no carpet (hotel carpets are disgusting!). I liked that my dog was welcomed and I didn't have to pay $40/night for her. The expense was very reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Toilet paper holder broken. Heat/AC unit needs to be properly assembled so vent & front pane don't fall off. Windows curtains need better fitting so they don't block heat vents, or outside light. Long delay for hot water to be hot after fau et turned on.

The price, especially for such a mundane town, was outrageous. And that’s After my booking.com discounts/deal. The bed appeared to be clean, but woke up in the middle of my sleep from the intense smell of either human, dog or cat urine… possibly all three. After the rude awakening, obviously knowing the front desk person has no control of what I was about to complain about, I prefaced my complaint with that exact sentiment so he would not be offended by my anger. Regardless of that, the man was indifferent, unhelpful and assumed I was asking for a refund. (I tried my hardest to not react to his horrible response, but he instead reacted childishly, calling me a punk as I was walking back to my room to pack up 6 hours before I needed to. To which I replied “I’m no punk, I’m 45 years old, to which he replied “do you want to make it to your 46th?”) An older, less Christian version of myself would have left your front desk a bloody mess and I’d be in jail. That man should thank Christ he got the newer version of me.) The only reason I haven’t called Motel6 Corporate is because today is Sunday, the day of Rest. Tomorrow will be different. If I actually felt threatened by the man I would have and could have called the police for threatening my life, but I’m not a snitch… or scared of men. Never intended to ask for a refund, but tomorrow it won’t be a request, it’ll be a demand/command.
