Day Dream - Vesturgata 5a Luxury Apartment

Ubicación perfecta, tranquilo y acogedor, repetiría.

Si no fuera por una mala conservación de las instalaciones del inmueble, grifo de la bañera que se sale, cierre de ventana del salón que no cierra por tener los tornillos fuera, picaporte de habitación que te quedas con el en la mano, radiador de parte superior que no calienta y alguna cosilla más. Si no fuera por esto el apartamento sería para un 10. No obstante lo recomiendo, tampoco son cosas para pasar una mala estancia.

Such a convenient location. 2 minute walk into the centre. Clean and spacious.

L emplacement de l appartement est parfait. Sa taille. La chambre à l étage. La salle de bain. Les équipements cuisine.

Le canapé est à changer pour manque de confort. Mal dormi. Si possible rajouter des stores au rez de chaussée et un kit de tablette pour le lave vaisselle.

The apartment is in an excellent location — central Reykjavik, easily accessible, spacious, and equipped with all essential amenities you might need. That being said, I’d like to highlight a few pros and cons below. Please note that the cons are intended as constructive feedback. The overall rating is 7/10 due to on one hand positive points such are location, space and overall comfort and negative points listed below - Excellent, central location; spacious and more than suitable for 4 people. - Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of utensils, plates, and cookware. - Large dining table with six sturdy chairs. - Excellent internet connection. - Bathroom includes both a bathtub and shower upstairs. - Comfortable bedding and good heating throughout. - Complimentary Nespresso coffee. - Easy self check-in process. - Considering Reykjavik prices, very good value for money.

- The apartment would benefit from thorough maintenance and repairs (possibly even a full renovation). - The washing machine upstairs requires servicing — it does not wash or spin/drain properly. We purposely packed lightly expecting to use it, but ended up with half-washed laundry that had to be wrung out by hand. - The yellow sofa bed needs repair: one of the crossbars is bent, causing it to sink in the middle and making it uncomfortable to use. - General wear and tear is very visible — the refrigerator back panel is loose, kitchen furniture worn, dislocated and in general need of repair. The left sliding door on the entrance wardrobe is off its hinges, and several door handles (especially on the bedroom and bedroom terrace door) are coming loose. - Curtains downstairs are missing or non-functional on some windows, and the remaining ones do not provide proper darkening. - Stairs leading to the door were covered in ice and snow upon our arrival.

So spacious and it has everything you need.

Lage ist hervorragend. Ausstattung ausreichend, aber mehr als Nudeln mit Pesto haben wir auch nicht gekocht 😃. War schön so viel Platz alleine zu haben.

Es ist echt etwas runter gerockt. Manche Türgriffe hängen auf halb acht, die Fenster sind schimmlig.

A great stay. The apartment was very nice and very clean and its position was very central.

The location is excellent and the house is beautiful. I also really enjoyed the kitchen, the balconies and the soaking tub. The place is amazingly bright, with windows all around (with shades of course) Management was extremely responsive even in the middle of the night, just fantastic.

I wish there was a freezer in the refrigerator. I had asked if I should bring ice trays (yes, I’m American!) and I did, but no freezer. I also had a little fight with the door on my first night, after getting in just fine. I couldn’t get back in, something was stuck. A lovely man came and helped me (in the middle of the night!) and I was embarrassed because it popped right open for him. I learned to be a little more aggressive with it and had no further problems.
