Fitz & Oritz Homestay

Comfortable room and attached ensuite, with kitchen facilities and lounging space if wanted. Breakfast provided each morning, which was just what was needed :)

It was a bit further out of town than expected, but Helena and Flexon (owners) happy to take you into town in the mornings before work and on return.

The owners are so kind and the accomodation itself was very clean and comfortable.

Our hosts were amazing! They gave us fantastic advice and helped us out as we hadn't planned much well. Breakfast was exactly what we needed, and they catered to us being vegetarian. Lovely stories and told us about the area, beautiful home, helpful, have us a lift, put up with us being a little dumb and tired after the trip, lip smacking papaya, best sleep we have had in a long time. Thank you!

We had a fantastic stay here! The atmosphere is calm and peaceful, and the hosts are incredibly kind and helpful. You get your own private entrance on the second floor, which makes the stay feel even more comfortable and private. The beds are very comfortable, and if you need anything, the hosts are always happy to help. Having your own car is ideal, but even without one, it’s just a 15-minute walk down to the main road where you can catch a minibus to wherever you want to go. The location is great for the price. It's close to some of the best resorts, bars, and beaches in Port Vila. Highly recommended if you want a budget-friendly stay without compromising on comfort or convenience!

Das Homestay ist ein Privathaus in einem ruhigen, sehr grünen Wohnviertel auf einem Hügel, etwas außerhalb der Stadt. Im Erdgeschoss wohnt die Familie, im 1 Stock sind 3 Zimmer mit Bad und einem großen gemeinsamen Bereich mit Küche, Wohnzimner und großer Terrasse. Dank klugem Fenstersystem mit Fliegengittern sehr luftiges, angenehmes Raumklima. Sehr freundlicher Empfang, alles persönlich und hilfsbereit.

Am Anfang nicht ganz leicht zu finden, aber wer gerne spazieren geht, ist hier richtig, zur Hauptstraße muss man 15min runter gehen, von dort dann per Mini-Bus problemlos um 150 Vatu in die Stadt oder Ponga Beach, etc

Helena and Flexon were excellent hosts - welcoming, helpful and relaxed. The family lived downstairs and the whole upstairs was for guests, including a modern kitchen, spacious lounge and a huge deck which was the size of several rooms. Very relaxing and great value

Very clean and spacious! Owners are very nice and i would 100% recommend this place. They also make you breakfast, which is great.

I had no idea it’s so far from town, but that’s my mistake. I recommend renting a vehicle for easy access.

Spacious and clean. Great value for money. Three different rooms to rent. Double room with ensuite and two rooms with two single beds each, sharing a bathroom. Great kitchen/lounge and balcony areas. Very helpful and friendly hosts. They got up at 5.30am to take us to airport to fly to Santo, even made us sandwiches to take with us. Little too far to walk to town, but easy to get local taxi with B registration to take you to Homestay.

This was my first time in Vanuatu. I didn't know what to expect. At the outset, the people of Vanuatu are generally friendly, and having more wonderful hosts made my stay an enjoyable one. The hosts Heelenah and Flexon made me feel at home right from when they picked me up from the Airport. The moment we said our farewells at the Airport I felt like I was leaving behind a piece of my family away from home. At the house, the kitchen has everything you need and there's a washing machine available for all your laundry needs. Breakfast is also served every morning. It’s a healthy choice of meal which I thoroughly enjoyed. Vinaka Vakalevu Heelenah. Will come back!

The place where the house is built is not accessible by the normal bus (minivan) run/route, however, the kind hosts are always available to help us get into town and back. I was lucky my schedules aligned well with their drive off to work and return, otherwise, if you know how to drive, suggest getting a rental car. If you need Airport Transfers, just let them know.
