Modern 3 Bed House with Garden and Parking

Immaculately clean house, with on drive parking and garden. Useful location.

There is no door separating the sitting room from the hall (there’s a door frame without a door) which makes it difficult to keep the sitting room warm if it’s cold & in general makes it feel less cosy than it could. Other reviewers have mentioned the excessive communication (including a reminder the night before, that someone would be coming to put the bins out the next day) and it was irritating. We travel often & use many booking sites but haven’t encountered such over communication before. It would put me off booking here again even though the house suited our needs. Having said that, when the boiler failed and we had no hot water and no heating, the response was speedy, effective and professional.

Schöne Unterkunft im Stadtteil Chesterton, unweit des River Cam: Der Bahnhof Cambridge North ist fußläufig zu erreichen, drei Kilometer Fußweg vorbei am Fluss und schon ist man in der Innenstadt. Der Tesco in Milton und der Cambridge Retail Park sind leicht zu erreichen. Kurz, die Lage ist super. Das Haus ist, wie in England üblich, ein für deutsche Verhältnisse empfundenes "Puppenhäuschen": Kleines, gemütliches Wohnzimmer, kleines Esszimmer, gut ausgestattete Küche und Flur im Erdgeschoss, Zwei ausreichend große Schlafzimmer, kleines Kinderzimmer und gut ausgestattetes Bad im Obergeschoss. Dazu kommt ein netter Garten und die Möglichkeit, das Auto auf der eigenen Auffahrt zu parken. Das Haus ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und war super sauber bei der Ankunft. Besonders erwähnenswert: Das ist eine der wenigen Unterkünfte, in die auch ein Hund mitgenommen werden kann. Unserer hat sich über den Garten und die Spaziergänge am River Cam sehr gefreut. Zum Schluss: Die Kommunikation mit dem Anbieter Hause of Luchini Ltd. ist schnell und eindeutig, was insgesamt zu einem angenehmen Aufenthalt beiträgt.

Preislich liegt das Angebot leider schon im oberen Drittel, was finanziell durchaus ein wenig schmerzt, aber angesichts des Gebotenen ist der Preis schon in Ordnung.

Keys easy to collect in the lock box on the side of the house. Easy parking, nice well equip house. Nice garden, lots of fresh mint and herbs. Very close to the river for an evening walk, close to the new Cambridge North train station.

Would have liked more tea-towels. There is a lot of communication from the company that rents out the property - doesn't need to be so much. If you want to message that much, I'd rather it be more personal, less generic.

After we paid for the booking, we had so many forms to fill in and provide identification. They should make people aware of the requirements before bookings. The heating stopped working most of the day and then the hot water went off for a while. We also kept getting too many messages from owners, to put out the rubbish, to leave on time etc... A bit over the top. Just need codes and then be left alone to enjoy the stay with instructions sent either by email or at the property.
