"This place is amazing! We had a wonderful time, and we would definitely come again."

10.0

The picturesque, secluded location of the property made our stay both intimate and scenic. The variety of animals on the property added charm to our stay, and the hot tub was a lovely surprise! Our host and the staff on site were friendly and accommodating, and the property itself was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. We would recommend this property to anyone visiting the Welsh countryside, and we can’t wait to come again!

"Comfortable but strangely chaotic setting"

5.0

Cute little hut. Good views. Great location. Friendly cats and turkeys.

Set behind the farmhouse in a field shared with broken machinery, cars, dilapidated boats and other detritus. Very small (but that’s ok!). Didn’t meet anyone (but booked earlier the same day so maybe they were all out.

"Very cozy and quirky!"

8.0

I stayed here while riding the Lon Las Cymru, and it is a fun quirky little place. I had a bit of trouble finding my exact accommodation, but the host (and the turkeys!) found me and set me off in the right direction. It was a quirky little travel trailer and although tiny, it was very cute and you can definitely tell it had been refurbished. Everything was clean and comfortable and there were welcome amenities (coffee/tea). It was safe to leave my bike outside and I loved watching (and hearing) the farm animals as the sun set. It was toasty warm and very cozy.

Some of the light sockets were empty, so it was not super bright inside after it got dark out. The WiFi did not work that great, but I went to bed early so it was not really that big of a deal.

"My first booking with booking.com and it may be my last."

Place at first glance seemed ok. Ideal for a one night stay as I was through hiking.

Maggots in the bed. They was falling off the windowsill and onto the bed. Clearly not been cleaned recently

Great friendly helpful host, sweet farm animals, inside reasonably clean, nice fire pit

Sorry to say but it just seemed like an unfinished project and overall disappointing. Access road steep rutted gravel, junk throughout yard, no lightbulbs in kitchen area but later found some in a drawer, bedding ripped with bits of grass, shower block out of order as no lighting (although an alternative was provided), broken appliances hidden in a cupboard, toaster didn’t work.

"Does what is says on the tin! It’s not a hotel, it’s farm, high up …in the hills!"

10.0

The charming Quaker’s Carriage at Coity Bach Farm is a very special retreat indeed! It pays homage to a much simpler way of living and, if you allow it, makes for a truly satisfying and comforting stay. When we saw the images provided, we knew it was exactly the escape we were looking for. We were not put off by other people’s remarks or reviews, as everyone has different expectations and comfort levels, which can sometimes be a little unrealistic. It’s clearly advertised as being on a working farmstead, so you can make an educated guess as to what that entails—in our opinion, anyway! One of our favourite aspects of the experience was witnessing the comings and goings of fascinating animals right on our doorstep. The views of the mountains are truly stunning at any time of day! The accommodation itself is perfectly suited for two adults (and a dog) and has everything you reasonably need for a relaxing getaway. The craftsmanship and aesthetic of the carriage are exceptional throughout, and it is in close proximity to the utilities. There are friendly cats and dogs roaming the land, and, if you’re lucky, even a toad or two. Once we found the other shower block—contrary to some reviews—we discovered they were the hottest campsite showers we had ever experienced! If you’re concerned about your trainers, worried about your upload speeds, and can’t quite handle the realities of being on a working farm, then I wouldn’t bother booking. But if you are easy-going, love outdoor living, and are able to go with the flow, then this is the place for you! We felt so welcomed and reassured when we arrived that it was actually very hard to leave. You have free rein to walk around the fields and surrounding areas, where you can see pigs, sheep, and cows. The staff have a warm vibe and a laid-back attitude, and we felt we could approach them easily. We were even lucky enough to sample some sausages and eggs produced on site, and we were not disappointed.

Driving my Fiat 500 up the track…but there’s options to park lower down one min walk away. But on the other hand it’s pretty adventurous!

"Thinking of staying here ? Don't."

1.0

Location, very quiet, peaceful.

Farm with lots of broken machinery, broken cars and boats laying around. No hot water, t.v doesn't work, unable to log on to WiFi. Self catering? Gas appliances only semi functional. Missing or broken light fittings.Very poor experience.
