The House of the poet

Paolo was an amazing host, great communication, flexible and friendly. The apartment was in a great location for transfer to cruise ship, it was also spacious, clean and comfortable.

Paolo ci ha dato un grande aiuto con le valigie, che erano numerose perché stavamo partendo per una crociera. È venuto a prenderle in stazione e le ha portate direttamente in albergo; il giorno dopo le ha trasferite al porto. Avrebbe accompagnato anche noi, ma non ci saremmo stati tutti in auto e, avendo una bambina piccola, avremmo avuto bisogno del seggiolino. In ogni caso, portarci le valigie è stato più che sufficiente. Davvero gentilissimo!

The place is really nice - has absolutely everything you need for a stay of any duration. Even a dishwasher and a washing machine - which is not that common to find. Paolo is a great host and was super helpful. There was some water (AND a beer) for us in the fridge. It is also very close the port (don't my mistake of walking all the way to the embarkment - there's actually a shuttle bus).

The restaurant downstairs is open till late in the night and it does get quite noisy. Could be a matter of luck but we did have a trouble falling asleep

Great location with everything we needed and Paolo was super friendly and helpful. It was always cool to return home to even without having the aircon on. The bed was very comfortable. An easy walk from the train station and to the port. We enjoyed walking around the streets of Civitavecchia and going to the beach.

Host.cares and place was great. Paulo and Guergo were great. Paulo was accommodating.

The owner, Paolo, was so welcoming and made the stay very easy. The apartment was spacious and cleaned very nicely.

We were very late checking in, it was no problem. In fact we were pleasantly surprised to be picked up at the train station and taken to the cruise ship the next morning. The apartment was spotless and very comfortable. Would most definatly not hesitate to book this again.

Central location to the eateries and cruise port. Paolo, the host, was very nice and helpful. He was gracious to pick us up at the train station and even gave us some insights to the town.

You can hear plenty of noises (cars, scooters, and loud conversations) from the street. There is a bar just below our windows so be aware if you're a light sleeper.

Perfect property for a stay before getting on a cruise! Clean apartment, great location near the train station and the cruise port….everything you need for a comfortable stay! In addition, Paulo was an amazing host! He picked us up from the train station and he dropped us off where you catch the bus to the cruise terminal. He went above and beyond! Thank you, Paulo!
