Started off with great communication from Amparo who is just lovely and helpful. We were able to check-in early as our family room was vacant. Very central to everything but still just tucked away enough to be quiet . The whole place was spotlessly clean with free water dispenser downstairs and also outside our room in corridor along with free Coffee making facilities.Every room had Christmas decorations on the door which made it an especially homely feel. We had a small balcony off our room with table and chairs and also a drying rack. Good air conditioning and also a pedestal fan which helped moving cool air around the room. I was a bit hesitant as there were not many reviews but we are glad we booked here and would definitely stay again. Amparo booked our onward van south to Port Barton and she can assist in all bookings including tours and scooter rental. Good stable WIFI in room To sum up Francis Dale Lodge was one of our favourite accommodations in our entire 5 week trip in the Philippines. It felt very much like we were part of the family and looked after. NOTE: there is a free 20 seat shuttle service between El Nido and Lio beach that starts only 2-3 minute walk from the lodge. Walk to the street near Regae bar, turn left and walk to Gorgonzola restaurant and turn left again. The pick up and drop off point for the bus is at the end of this street on right hand side . Leaves on the hour.

Having been travelling the Philippines for a month already we are used to towels which are provided in some places which provide very little ability to which away any water. I would love to see better towels provided but for the price point Francis Dale Lodge was awesome
