1st floor shower was difficult to get a constant water temperature

Location, helpfulness of host.

It was quite loud in the house as everything creaks anytime someone moves anywhere on the first or second floor. Oven wasn’t usable until we googled how to get it off the stop setting which would have stopped a lot of people from using it.

Washing machine, good sized rooms, comfortable beds, plenty of power points, Well equipped kitchen. Proximity to Transpeak bus stops, railway station & supermarket. Buxton is a lovely place to stay, with easy bus access to Bakewell, Ashford in the water, Matlock Bath etc

A microwave would have been really handy. One of the previous guests had stolen the hair-dryer, so I had air dried hair for a week. The key lock box is a good idea, but wasn't usable for us, as my travel buddy couldn't manage it.

Rooms were a great size, beds were comfortable, water pressure in showers excellent, some very good lighting. The lounge seats were comfortable, excellent range of books and games.

Lack of towel rails, the overhead lights were extremely bright. The worst aspect was the smell - clearly smokers had smoked in the house. Shame about the cigarette butts in the garden. Not suitable for wheelchair users as all bedrooms are upstairs.

The location was great close to central Buxton and amenities.
