"Cosy Comfortable cottage in Ulverston"

8.0

The cottage is well located for our needs, travelling from Scotland. We were able to park in the street outside. The cottage itself was clean and tidy and cozy and comfortable. The accommodation is pet friendly and our dog enjoyed his stay, as much as we did.

While we found the cottage to be warm and comfortable, the heating didn't seem to extend to the bathroom which was particularly cold. Travelling in February, during cold weather, it meant that taking a shower was not particularly pleasant. There was a problem with the cold tap in the kitchen sink. It had to be manipulated in a particular way, pushing it towards the spout, to achieve a flow of water. It seems that a washer or something inside, is worn out. My wife complained that the pillows on her side of the bed were lumpy and uncomfortable, although I found the bed, comfortable, and I slept well. I would also recommend, leaving clear instructions on how to operate the thermostat for the heating. The unit is a touch screen mechanism which is not obvious, I only found out how to work it on our last night, and the controls are quite complicated.
