Fabulous characterful cottage in a great location. Lots of places to eat on your doorstep. Amazing views and the garden is perfect. Enjoyed the hot tub and the bed is super comfortable.

An extra plug socket in the bedroom would be good but only a minor issue

Location was excellent Lovely cottage. Small issue with heating was resolved very quickly by the host.

Signs say watch your head. Doors all low so just be aware

The location. The cottage had everything you could think of and was very comfortable. If you enjoy history, quirky but with a modern kitchen and bathroom this is the place. Oh yes, and stunning sunsets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would hopefully stay there again in the future.

"A lovely few days in this charming cottage with added surprise of Milk, jam and croissants."

A perfect few days away looking over the Blackwater Estuary. Enjoying walks, peace and quiet. The cottage was delightful and charming. Bed was very comfortable, with good bedlinen. Differently back to Mersea Island

Unfortunately my husband forgot to duck and dive inside the cottage and hit his head a number of times..... not for the over 6'3 tall people maybe!!

It was beautiful the garden was amazing and perfect for what we needed it for as we have family in Colchester and Mersea and this was our annual trip to visit them.
