There were animals which woke us up early but that seems to be the norm in the area!

The two bedroom suite upstairs is spacious and clean, clearly newly renovated. Free drinking water provided.

The description on booking is misleading; there is no separate bedroom and living space, it's just one room with a sofa right next to the bed next to the sink. The room we were shown on arrival, on the ground floor, had a strong mouldy humid smell, only one window at the front so absolutely no way to have daylight and any privacy at the same time, and no "kitchenette" (a kettle and some dishes at least) that we were expecting. So after a long conversation with the staff and the owner on the phone, we moved to one of the two upstairs suites which better matched what we expected when we booked, for an extra fee. It was the end of the year season so there was no way to find another vacant place that would meet our needs so we chose to stay. The location is honestly not good even if you have a scooter. It's at the end of a local access road and there are houses all around; it was loud and noisy all the time, either loud banging music, or karaoke, or dogs barking half the night, or kids crying, or pigs screaming, or chickens and roosters making whatever sound they make. The beds in the suite are 1,2 m; for two tall Europeans it's just incredibly uncomfortable. There was an electric cooker in the room that was clearly broken and a fire hazard, and cooking anything was an electric shock or two guaranteed; at the same time there's only one place with food within an easy walking distance on the main road. A tricycle to Alona was at least 100 php there and 200 back; a motorbike rental in the area is 450-500 so you'll need to budget for either. I would not stay there again.

The staff is phenomenal: they cleaned our room, made arrangements to rent us a motorbike, were attentive and even helped us with unforeseen events that we had, they are a 10. In addition, the location is ideal, as it is close to the tourist area (10 minutes by motorbike or tricycle), but also has the tranquility of being in a rural area. There is a small terrace very convenient for drying clothes and parking space, we were very comfortable.

The bathroom is very small and there is no separation between the toilet and the shower, which makes the bathroom easily flooded. The rest, wonderful. :)

Diana is amazing host, she helped us with everything. The place in the inside is comfortable and clean. It has everything that you need. It is much quieter than places by the Main Street.

The location is unknown to all drivers so you need to guide them.
