"The cabin got us by, but in future we will pay the extra for a more comfortable place to stay."

5.0

No major issues encountered, we had all the basic necessities for eating and showering etc... And there were heaters provided for warmth. The pay metre was easy enough to use.

The bed was highly uncomfortable and on the small side, we struggled to sleep. The sofa was not very comfortable either, and again very restrictive. The TV wasn't great, it was very small. We also found several hairs in the shower tray and on the bed sheets. The carpet in the living room area could do with a deep thorough clean as it was a little smelly.

The location is fantastic. Beautiful beach that dogs can use 12 months of the year. Short walk into Bridlington or, in the other direction, there is Fraisethorpe. Kids loved the amusements that are open on site too.

It was a surprise to find we needed £1 coins for the electricity meter. Thankfully we had some notes that we changed for £1s in the amusements. It wasn't an issue, only put £2 in the whole weekend and we had the heating on a lot. It was just unexpected.

"Excellent location, near to the beach."

8.0

Fantastic little spot. Very cute chalet. Has everything you need for a few nights. Plenty of cooking utensils and cutlery. Small area to front for sitting outside and fenced for dogs. About 2 mile walk into Bridlington. Clean and tidy. Small walk to the nearest beach, which is huge, lovely and quiet, perfect for dog walks.

Some areas could do with improvements. The bunk bed wasn’t comfortable to sleep on. The ‘wardrobe’ needs replacing/fixing. Instructions for the cooker would be handy and a small folding table would be helpful.

"Cheap, basic accommodation which could do with improvements. Good location."

3.0

It was quiet and beds were comfy. Good location for beach walking. Cheap for 2 beds.

The chalet had not been cleaned since the last guests. I don't think the doorbell/intercom worked, I had to phone them and they apologized and quickly sent the cleaner, but we had to wait a further hour until 5 pm before it was cleaned and we could use the facilities. ( There was a mix up, and the cleaners had not been informed of our booking.) 5 minutes after the cleaners left I realised that the 2 burner table top hob was switched on and was extremely hot. I had not switched it on. It could have been extremely dangerous, as I could have accidently touched it or put something on top of it while unpacking, it could easily have caused a fire. We were very lucky to have noticed it. The cutlery was stored in a tray located at the bottom of the cupboard underneath the kitchen sink, with all the cleaning products on the shelf above. I thought this was wrong, it needs to be put in a diferent cupboard. We did not use the shower as there is a very high step into it. It was too risky for my 89 year old father, particularly as there was no grab rail. There is a what looks like a clothes rail/shoe storage frame in the small bedroom. It is broken and in pieces, and looks like it has been abandoned there. It takes up quite a lot of space in such a small room, looks unsightly, and needs throwing. As other guests have mentioned in reviews, it would have been nice to know that the electric meter needs £1 coins. Luckily we didn't need any as there was money on the meter.

"Had a lovely time and wish I'd booked another night."

It does have a key box but the cleaner was there when we arrived so she gave us the key.

I messaged beforehand to ask if we could check in between 12 and 1pm which was agreed. We arrived at 12.30 but the cleaner hadn't been told so we had to wait in the car for her to finish.
