"It was ok. I wouldn’t rent the property again."

It was a nice property to stay at.

The fire place in the inside did not work. I contacted the lady and she told me there was a switch on the wall. We looked for a switch and never found it. The timer did not work or light the electric fireplace.

⭐️ DO NOT BOOK — Worst Experience of Our Lives We drove eight hours on Christmas Eve to stay at this lodge, only to open the door and discover that the property had been double booked. After an exhausting drive, we were suddenly left with nowhere to stay on one of the busiest travel nights of the year. When we contacted the property manager, he took zero ownership or responsibility. Instead, he blamed Booking.com, stating that they “always double book,” especially around the holidays, and then completely abandoned us to figure it out on our own. No assistance. No solutions. No concern. We then contacted Booking.com, who also took no accountability. Their only suggestion was to relocate us to a new booking three states away, which was completely unrealistic and unacceptable given the circumstances. As a result, we were left stranded on Christmas Eve, with every nearby hotel fully booked or priced at two to three times what we had reserved over a month in advance. Our confirmation was reconfirmed just one week prior, making this failure even more unacceptable. This was hands down the scariest, most stressful, and worst travel experience we’ve ever had. To be abandoned by both the property manager and the booking platform after such a major error is beyond unprofessional. I strongly recommend never booking with this property or this individual. The lack of accountability, customer service, and basic human decency in a situation like this is unacceptable. Save yourself the risk — especially during holidays — and book elsewhere.

Location - easy access to 259. Evenings were great on the back deck. Beautiful surroundings.

One toilet is loose from its moorings - dangerous! Microwave handle is very loose. Back deck is filthy - gross! Furniture in great room is way, way past it; beautiful old furniture is in shabby disrepair. I’d love to have stayed here about 10 years ago, when everything was new and in operating condition.
