Le Mini Metro Balcony Apartment by i-Stay Whitby

Excellent communication from the host. Very clean and tidy accommodation. Very well equipped kitchen. Quiet location, short walk to the town and really close to the beach.

Some building noise nearby went on late in the evening but not a huge issue.

The location was fab, a 10 minute walk (probably less) down to the whale bone. The bed was super comfy! The shower was fab. The place had everything we needed for our short visit of 3 nights. The balcony was lovely especially with the sun coming up in the morning and we could open the doors and have our breakfast there. The parking space outside the property was a huge bonus. However I must add there was huge confusion over this as the property says different things about parking on different websites. I asked the host and was told to use a car port to the right of the property (there is no car port). I was in the area weeks before my stay so visited and was told I could park within the walled area as the front of the property for the duration of my stay - no trouble came of this but I think the listing needs to be much more accurate on parking. The host was really really responsive and easy to communicate which was great.

The outside of the property isn’t the nicest. The view from the bedroom window overlooks a scaffolded pub, a dirty roof and a bit of a builders yard and the window had a big bird poo on it (can’t be helped I suppose!) the front of the property was overgrown with weeds around the wall and there were some random for sale signs that were just fell over and forgotten about. The bedroom got really hot, a portable fan would have been of use. We didn’t want the window open cause of the seagulls squarking early.

The apartment was slightly out of town and away from the noise that most holiday towns have. You do need to be happy to walk up steps and a slight hill on the way back. The apartment had all the essential for a 2 night stay. Good views . We had an issue with the toilet and the host delt with it swiftly.

There was no parking information in the apartment. Apparently there are 3 parking Zones in Whitby. You need a disc to park for 3 hours out side the property. Thankfully my partner went to the information center and collected one before we checked in. They also told us where we could park nearby for free. A bit of Information about the area and restaurants would have been a nice touch. The land outside of the property was very unkempt with old For Sale Boards mixed in with the weeds.

The apartment was lovely, spotlessly clean, and a great location. The balcony with a sea view was fab. Communication from the owner was great too. Would definitely recommend.

The property was ok for a shot time of stay

Bedroom wasn’t spacious enough and I like a tv in room . I like a lighter room was I bit dark to get ready , and I got work up a couple of times in the night of some sort of banging,also the sofas wasn’t comfortable to sit on ,also wasn’t anything to wash pots with like a dish cloth.

booked last minute and the communication was amazing. really easy code access sent through in good time. The apartment itself has everything you need with gorgeous bifolds and a balcony. nice large comfy bed. lovely new bathroom and kitchen. couldn't fault it we loved it and will be coming back! great value for money- thank you

We loved the location,the bed was comfy and easy parking.
