Lovesick Hostel & Bar Mpai Bay

Lovely hostel with a beautiful location and super friendly staff. The small bar in front is perfect for socializing. And it's only a short walk to the fluorescent plankton. The rooms are all wooden, very comfortable and don't get too hot even without Aircon.

The doors are a bit loud and get slammed quite a bit by the guests.

I liked everything really, Lauren and Hans are great hosts and always helpful, and so all the volunteers. A great team. Enjoyed myself and if it weren't for me booking the wrong airport I would have stayed longer 🤪

The location is good. Staff is friendly.

The fan isn’t enough to cool down in the extremely hot room. Also there were a lot of mosquitos. The two persons bed was provided with a dirty mosquito net, but the bunk bed didn’t have any mosquito net. Also from the ceiling there were things falling down on the bed. Also an old toothbrush was found under the bed. And the bottom of the bed was bad, because it was hanging through the wooden bottom.

If you are looking for luxury, Koh Rong Sanloem probably isn’t for you, but if you want a truly authentic experience with truly beautiful people it’s the best place. I loved my stay here. I went fishing with some mates separate to the hostel and they let me cook the fish on their bbq and we had a big feast all together. Totally what travelling is all about

The dorm walls are made of bamboo at the moment which wasn’t a problem for us but I can see why some people would get arsey about it. But they’re starting renovations to turn them into proper concrete walls so shouldn’t be an issue next year

Very flexible for early and late checkout. The shared bathrooms were tended to regularly to ensure they were clean. Great vibes from the people running it.

The hostel is super social. The boat party was really fun and you can see that the owners really want guests to have a good time Big spacious dorms Really cute pets
