Fountain Apartment No 2 with Free Parking

The convenience store could not be nearer. Fast food outlets and restaurants are on the same street. It's a short walk to the historic centre of town. We liked the decor and high ceilings.

The double bed is only a standard size. (We used the single and the double for the two of us but that is not our preferred sleeping arrangement) Not enough towel rails in the bathroom. There is plenty of room to add more simple rails to keep towels off the floor. The missmatched and torn curtains are not very nice. (When you replace them wax the curtain rail so that they open and close without tugging). The shower tray needs mould treatment.

Very close walking distance to everything and quiet area. Amazing to have shop right underneath you for anything needed. The place kindly provided some tea, coffee and sugar and milk for few day as well as toilet paper, towels and washing up liquids. The place itself clean. Beds comfortable. Lovely bathroom.

The gates banging every time someone left was not great. Also, no fans on the hottest day of the year was not fun. Also, I'm not sure who checking place, but when we arrived, we went to make ourselves a cup of tea. The 2 cups were pulled down, where filty and stained. So maybe wash anything you plan to use first, even if it looks clean. Though a quick fix to wash them was surprised as everything else clean and tidy.

Location was good. Car parking very useful. Clean and comfortable flat

Hot water system a bit complicated and not clearly explained. We ran out but we’re able to reheat the water, eventually. Shower needs some attention, seal is going mouldy and water doesn’t drain very well.

Great location. The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. Secure parking an added bonus.

We were just above the entrance door which banged shut all times of the day. Could have done with a hairdryer as well.

From start to finish there was every single detail needed in the welcome message, including door codes, barrier code, bin store code, phone numbers etc. it was so straight forward and easy to follow. We we extremely happy with the apartment it was so clean and tidy, it had everything you needed. Fridge, washer, cooker and utensils, glasses cups etc, TV, hairdryer, Towels were also provided it was great, the beds were lovely and comfy pillows extremely soft may need to bring your own depending on preference but otherwise great. Secondly the location was perfect, a short 5-10 minute walk around the corner was the Minster, plenty of restaurants, shops and pubs, shambles market was also around the corner. A little further down you would could find river Ouse again plenty more pubs, shops and restaurants overall the location was perfect. Host was great and in contact relatively quickly if we had a question prior to check in. Overall it was our first time in York but we will definitely be returning with another stay over in these beautiful apartments.

Lovely apartment in a great location. As per previous comments about lack of plates etc, this has been rectified, Secured carpark and apartment. Would return anytime.

The instructions to find the property were excellent.The secure parking was an added bonus. The apartment was well located for walking into the city. It was very clean and warm with plenty of hot water. The beds were very comfortable.

The kitchen could have had a few more cooking utensils - i.e.cheese grater ,scissors and egg cups.

Hob was a nightmare to operate kept cutting on and off Need coat hooks in the hall better storage in the bathroom and better pans and equipment eg no cheese grater
