Shadyside, Pittsburgh, Modern and Unique 1 Bedroom Unit6 with Free Parking

The unit was largely wonderful, and my partner and I had a great stay. Its proximity to nearby restaurants and coffee shops was wonderful, and it has convenient access to several bus routes and nearby parks. Pizza Perfectta's buffalo chicken pizza was unlike any other I'd had before and was a highlight of the neighborhood.

The stairs to the loft bedroom are very narrow and steep. You must be careful ascending and descending. The bathroom is small, but good enough. If that matters to you as a renter, keep it in mind. Lastly, the AC for this unit seemed to depend on another unit, as our searching for controls yielded no results. (To be clear, we did not message the host about it, so there could be controls.) It was generally not a problem, but there were moments when it was too cold or too hot, depending on whether the other unit's occupants were home or away.

The proximity to the University of Pittsburgh and the shoppes /restaurants in Shadyside.

Everything was great but the steep steps to the bedroom took some getting used to too.

Free parking in a lot behind the house, full kitchen, washer/dryer. Unit is very clean and comfortable, and actually looks like the listing pictures. I am going to mention the parking again. Be careful of listings that mention street or public parking, you are not guaranteed a spot. Having a lot right behind the house was a wonderful thing. Highly recommend staying here instead of a hotel.

The temperature of the unit was not a problem. However, I would have liked my own thermostat. I like knowing the actual temperature.
