Tallinn Old Town Stay - Vintage rooms

Location

First, this isn't a hostel; people live there, and there's nothing wrong with that. Just let your guests know before booking a place like this. Second, the fridge and kitchen were dirty, the bathrooms were disappointing, and the mattress was thin and uncomfortable. Finally, the price-comfort ratio is wrong. Just go to a real hostel.

Location is the best thing

Excellent location.

Bed is narrow and soft. Curtains too thin as early morning light comes straight into the room. However, location compensates for these shortcomings.

The place is like Air B&B, without the breakfast.

The location was perfect and the flat was cosy and pleasant. Staying here gives you the feeling of being at home in the city by enabling you to live in a proper flat rather than staying at a traditional hotel. This arrangement is better and more private than a hostel and also more cosy and down-to-earth than a hotel. I would recommend it highly to budget travellers who are a bit too old or comfort-oriented for hostels but like a more down-to-earth experience than that offered by a hotel.

This was not a problem at all for me but guests should be aware that this is a flat-sharing arrangement. You will have your own private room in the flat but you will be sharing the common space (kitchen and bathrooms) with other guests. This was certainly not a problem for me, nor will it be for your average backpacker, but people wanting more privacy might not prefer the arrangement.
