Nestled in the picturesque Kingswood Golf Estate, 35 Brookside is more than just a vacation rental; it’s a true home away from home. From the moment you arrive, the attention to detail and care put into the home are evident, creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. One of the standout features of 35 Brookside is the thoughtful amenities provided. Upon arrival, we found coffee pods ready for the coffee machine, milk waiting in the fridge, and firewood along with firelighters for the perfect braai or BBQ experience. The house was impeccably clean, with all appliances in perfect working order, ensuring a hassle-free stay. The kitchen is well-equipped, boasting enough utensils and cookware to cater to any culinary adventure. Even the little details, like having sufficient dustbin bags for our entire stay, contributed to a seamless experience. The estate’s surroundings are nothing short of breathtaking. With the stunning golf course and the free-roaming springbok, it’s a nature lover’s paradise. During our visit, we were fortunate to witness the birth of a rare black springbok, a truly special moment that exemplified the unique wildlife thriving in the area. Strolling through the estate, the tranquil ambiance and scenic views made our stay all the more enjoyable. Overall, 35 Brookside on Kingswood Golf Estate offers a comfortable and inviting retreat and by addressing my improvement suggestions, this will be a 10 rating. With its thoughtful amenities and stunning surroundings, it’s a fantastic choice for anyone looking to relax and reconnect with nature. With a few adjustments, this already wonderful property has the potential to provide an even more exceptional experience.

While our stay was largely enjoyable, there were a few areas that could benefit from improvement. The geyser, for instance, seemed too small for a family of five, leading us to establish a shower schedule to manage hot water availability. A larger geyser or a switch to gas for on-demand hot water would enhance the experience significantly. Additionally, communication could be improved. Although we provided our estimated arrival time upon booking, this was later rejected without explanation, which was somewhat frustrating. Clearer communication regarding arrival times and expectations would certainly enhance guest satisfaction. Lastly, while the check-out instructions were generally satisfactory, the tone of the final message felt a bit threatening. A more friendly approach or a process that includes an owner's inspection and sign-off could make for a smoother and more pleasant conclusion to the stay.

The kitchen could use a few more appliances, such as a sandwich toaster as well as more cutlery and a few Tupperware containers to seal left overs in and refrigerate. It has all the necessities, just a thought.
