The location is amazing, the apartment was excellent and the service from Mike at the front desk was fab too. We stayed 3 nights and are already planning a return trip.

Holiday Adventurers, I am Swiss living a life of Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental and Ritz Carlton for the past 6 decades. Retired now I am on a 140 day New Zealand A to Z adventure. I began from Auckland International Airport heading north toward Cape Reinga NZ's northern tip. Accommodations got worse the further north I went. Search after Search zero then out of the Booking.Com huge offering pages popped Doubtless Bay Villas !! Pictures can be Hollywood but I felt that this was real so I took a shot and paid a month in advance for 14 days. After a 6 hour drive I pulled into the development following the perfect instructions provided. I never take anything out of the car until I have walked through a property. I walked into the first floor and went WOW ! Second floor WOW !! Perfect is all I can say. I spent two weeks living in a beautiful post card !! A special mention to the staff !! Mark and Jane went so far to support me that they offered unbelievable unexpected goodies like an assortment of Nespresso Capsules etc etc If you hope for a 5 star experience at 3 star prices Mark and Jane's Doubtless Bay Villas is the way to go when traveling north of Auckland !!! The villa provides spacious accommodation with spectacular views. Its street location was easy to find and the villa was easy to find if you follow the instructions. The villa was exceptionally clean (especially the linen and carpets). It was a spacious villa with ample room to launder clothing and re-pack luggage after or during a long trip. Bathrooms and kitchen were well-designed and highly functional. The Operations Managers of the property, Mark and Jane, were very helpful. They were more like traditional country B&B hosts with lots of useful information on the area and practical information on the property.

The temperature in the east-facing master bedroom was difficult to regulate - very warm by the mid-morning, while cold at night. It would be helpful to have a reverse air conditioning unit installed in the room. Also, it would be helpful to have a small radio and TV in the bedrooms, especially for rainy days and nights, which are frequent in NZ.

Just as beautiful as the pictures. Really stunning views, really nice spacious place. Very clean as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I would definitely come back. This was just perfect.

Superb location - with wonderful views. Quite a lot of noise from the traffic on the road below.
