Loch an Eilean Pod Isle of South Uist

Beautiful wee pod in a picturesque location. Lovely host - Neil was tremendous fun and totally helpful. Mountain Bikes were provided too! The Pod was warm and cosy - we felt like kids again! Everything was provided and fresh towels half way through were a bonus. O’Henley’s treats nearby was a fantastic bonus. Lots of parking space and lots of peace and quiet. Great bird watching. Beautiful beach nearby and a short walk to the fine dining of the Polochar Inn.

Whilst the pod doesn’t face the Loch, there is a lovely deck and seating area from which to watch the birds and the sunset whilst sipping your sundowners.

Linda has made the pod a perfect haven. It is beautifully kitted out with everything you need. It was warm and cosy despite the battering wind and rain outside.

What a stay! If you are looking for a quiet and very relaxing place with all the necassary facilities near by- don't look any further. It's a great base to explore the the islands (also Eriskay and Barra). I spent a week here and it was just brilliant! The pod is fully equipped and everything was clean and fully functional. The pod is perfectly situated and only 10 minutes walk (slow) from the beach. And 5 minutes from very tasty farm ice creams... Great to pick one up and have at the beach. Linda was a fantastic host. She was so nice and always replied when I had a question. If I had the choice I would come back here again.

The pod has everything you need. Great sized shower. It was spotless on arrival and was very comfortable. The host was excellent, great communication and very accommodating when we had some challenges with our travel. The location was perfect. Beautiful loch to look over and watch the wildlife and a 10 minute walk from a beautiful beach. Would definitely stay again.

incredible. Linda was a superb host and the pod was really danatatsic. My recommendation for staying here would be to do it if you have a car, but then I would probably say that about the island as a whole as it’s a better way of getting round. the pod was super clean and the bed was very comfy. had a great time and will be back!

This part is for Google maps as it does t pinpoint the address exactly with the postcode and when you arrive at night it’s a pain. Follow the road down Gearradh na Monadh and there is a sign with the pod name (Loch na hEaileain) which is a better way of trying to locate it, I found.
