Staff very helpful and pleasant great location

The place was lovely, we stayed in a poolside cabin with pool entry , lovely room with balcony and pool steps. Set back from Walking Street with no noise and just 5 mins to the beach. Nice breakfast (will never get used to chicken sausage/bacon), which is a norm in Thai hotels.

The only staff member who stood out in a positive way was the pool bar attendant, who was friendly and welcoming—something the reception team could clearly learn from. The pool was nice.

This was, without question, some of the worst service I have experienced—driven almost entirely by the reception staff. There was a consistent lack of basic hospitality, flexibility, and willingness to assist. Simple requests were treated as inconveniences rather than part of their role. The most unacceptable moment came at checkout: when I asked for help arranging a taxi, I was told to go out onto the street and either walk, find a tuk-tuk, or arrange one myself. This, despite the fact that I was travelling alone with two large suitcases, a trolley, a computer bag, and a handbag. The complete lack of awareness—or concern—for that situation was frankly shocking. I was also told that if the hotel were to arrange a taxi, I would have to pay extra. For a basic service that most hotels provide without hesitation, this felt unreasonable and unprofessional. Even something as minor as requesting an extra key card—so I could leave the electricity on to charge my devices—became unnecessarily difficult. It reflects a broader issue: not just poor service, but a lack of care. What makes this even more disappointing is that these are exactly the same issues I experienced during my previous stay in July 2025. Nothing has improved. There has been no effort to address what are clearly ongoing problems. The only reason I chose to return was because I needed the same room again while working on my book. That continuity mattered to me during the writing process—and to their credit, they did manage to provide the same room. Pool is nice. However, that is where the positives end. Overall, the service—especially at reception—is far below any acceptable standard. Based on this experience, I would not return again.
