Maison Barriera - Luxury Suites - Salerno City Center

This place was really clean and styled so well. The host is an amazing person and very kind. I have already recommended this place to my friends. I was not wanting to leave because the accomodation is very near to the most amazing places around in Salerno. The accomodation makes you feel so comfortable that it may make anyone want to extend their stay.

There was nothing that I did not like.

We were treated like family! Location is right in the main square but off a quiet courtyard. Highly recommend! Very personal service. Real antiques and paintings add to the decor.

We had a fantastic stay in Salerno at Maison Barriera. The location was ideal, our room was a good size and very characterful, the shower had great water pressure. We felt like the room was extremely good value for the price. Giuseppe and Anita are wonderful hosts, they really went the extra mile with lots of little extras and were so kind, friendly and helpful with our queries and requests.

The room is decorated lovely, the bed is comfortable and the location is absolutely perfect. The hosts were incredible. We were on our honeymoon and they had an amazing surprise waiting for us. It’s a remote property but they went the extra mile and received us in person. Would definitely recommend!

We could not have asked for a better 2-night stay in Salerno Old Town. Giuseppe and Doddo are wonderful hosts and made us feel like family. We initially booked this property based on location, price and reviews. The property is very centrally located right on the square with plenty of dining and shopping just outside the front door. It's a short walk to the train station, marina and Lungomare. The bedroom and attached private bathroom are clean and comfortable. The property has an elevator, free WiFi, a small balcony overlooking an inner courtyard, air conditioning (although we didn't use it during our stay) and was a good value. The hosts, Giuseppe and Doddo, are very responsive on What's App. We arrived by train and were texted instructions to access the property. Check-in was contactless and very easy. Giuseppe sent us a list of local recommendations, which was very helpful. He checked on us via text to make sure we had everything we needed. The same easy process was followed for check-out. The highlight of our Italy trip, however, was dinner in the Home Restaurant with Doddo, Gloria and Simon. This was a wonderful evening spent learning a bit about Italy's cultural and culinary traditions, laughing and getting to know this friendly and talented group of people. The meal prepared in Doddo's kitchen was out of this world. Doddo used the freshest ingredients to create a special and memorable meal for the two of us. We appreciated the care and attention that went into making this the most magical evening in Salerno.

At arrival to the property I wasn't sure we were in the right place. I was glad Giuseppe was so quick to respond on What's App. He guided us through the process and made check-in a breeze.

Excellent location. Only about 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Right in the middle of the town. You step outside the building and you are in the middle of the square. Plenty of restaurants and cafes around.

We did have issues with the key to the property. It wasn't easy to get into and had to buzz in to be let in but eventually we got it sorted. Be aware that this is Air B&B, not a hotel which means your room won't be made up every day but otherwise all was good.Giuseppe and Doddo were very helpful.

Just a bit too small. Maybe one more chair would fit in, and an arrangement that would allow two people to sit at the table would make it more comfortable.

First the owners. Giuseppe, Doddo and Anita will make you feel like family. Ask them about anything you need to do or to eat, they will help you and they will go the extra mile for you. Then the location. The apartment is in the main boulevard of Salerno. More than 50 restaurants are in a 100 mts radius. All the shopping is just right out of the door. The best pizzas and gelatos right on front. Traghettos to the Amalfi coast 10 minutes walk. Lungomare the greatest boulevard promenade on the beach just 2 blocks away. Main train station? 15 min. walk straight on the boulevard.

Everything is excellent only thing would benefit from a full length mirror to get ready.
