The apartment itself is brilliant. It's spacious and clean and has everything you could possibly need including washing machine, iron/ironing board, hairdryer, kettle, large fridge freezer, excellent bathroom/shower, decent sized balcony and very good air conditioning. The location was perfect for us. There are lots of shops very nearby including a large supermarket. There are also a wide range of bustling restaurants to choose from including plenty of authentic Spanish ones. The beach is a 10 or 15 minute walk down quite a steep hill but that was OK with us. Parking is difficult in front of the property but there is plenty on the road at the rear which was fine.

The apartment block is very dated and is a mix of holiday lets and residential flats. When we walked in for the first time we thought we'd made a terrible mistake. It's very dark and gloomy and there are loads of poorly cared for plants that are screaming out for light. The place is grubby and unwelcoming. Unfortunately during our stay we had to endure earsplitting drilling noises from builders in one of the flats on the floor above. This went on for three days and was absolutely horrendous. We contacted the owner but there was nothing she could do about it so we avoided being there as much as possible. Such a shame because otherwise it would have been fine because the apartment itself made up for the poor state of the rest of the building.
