We went here solely for what the place is: a hotel in a former huge train station on the border of Spain and France with a unique history. And it not only met, but exceeded our expectations. Which is a difficult task and even more so being it is in a completely out of the way place. The hotel is expensive, but worth every bit of it - from the reception/check-in through the restaurants, breakfast, and check-out, the staff were A++: helpful, friendly, and honestly came across as though they enjoyed working there. We didn't plan on eating dinner at the hotel restaurant but with there being basically nothing else open in town, we charmed our way in (probably staying in the hotel helped), and both the food and service were exceptional. Anyone who has a pistachio croissant for breakfast gets a 10 in my book.

Being the middle of nowhere, and being an "upper crust" hotel, there is no reason to charge 15 Euros for parking, even if they do "complimentary" overnight window cleaning.

Le site est assez incroyable l'accueil est parfait.

Chambre très petite pour un 5 étoiles. J'ai regretté qu'il n'y est pas eu de tréteaux pour la valise très inconfortable de l'utiliser par terre. Le papier médiocre proche de la mesquinerie. Ces prestations ne sont pas digne d'un 5 étoiles. Quant au repas du soir trop cher pour les portions servies et assiettes tièdes il a fallut les retourner TRES DECU.

Preciosa restauración de la antigua estación de Canfranc. Elegante decoración de muy buen gusto. Personal muy amable y profesional. Desayuno y cena de gran calidad.
