"Beautifully furnished apartment!"

10.0

Y Lofft is a beautifully furnished, exceptionally clean apartment. Everything had been carefully considered, from the books on the bedside tables to the tasty Welsh cakes, and the fairy lights on the stairs. The comfortable (huge) bed with 5* hotel bedding and the rainfall shower were a real bonus, especially after a long day walking. This, in addition to the ideal location, is fantastic value for money - perfect for hikers. Communication with Sarah was faultless, and we loved the idea of being tucked away in our own independent living space. We would definitely recommend and will be visiting again!

Absolutely nothing to do with the accommodation, but unfortunately the pub/restaurant a few feet away was closed with no indication of re-opening date. Not a problem as we are walkers, so we went elsewhere, but this information might be useful to others. Highly recommend the Corn Exchange for a few pints with the friendly locals, and the Beaufort for tasty, reasonably priced food.

"Didn’t stay"

1.0

Nothing

On arrival the property was situated on a very noisy road. I couldn’t get into the property a bit unclear which was which. I emailed the host several times but the email kept bouncing back. The property was on a main road, too noisy for me to get rest. I booked into a hotel. Information should have stated that this Retreat was on main road.

"Exceptional"

10.0

The hosts were very kind and I had all the facilities I needed in the room. The house had a comfy ambience, with a nice view out into the hills. I was also allowed to store my cycle within the property safely. The townsfolk of Glangrwyney were helpful and some of the most friendly people I've met in the UK so far.

"Comfortable but cold on the loo"

7.0

Clean, well furnished and well equipped and a very good location for us

The toilet/bathroom has no heating and is consequently very cold (but the separate shower is great )

The space was so well thought through. Loved the mini kitchenette and the wonderfully comfy huge bed. The shower was fab and wash area attention to detail and lots of little additions eg toiletries etc made it feel special

"Perfect cosy stay in the Brecon Beacons, lovely outdoor summer patio and a huge comfy bed!"

9.0

Perfect size for a little getaway into the Brecon Beacons. Lovely little outdoor space for summer evenings and has the best giant bed I have ever stayed in! Everything you need for a stay walking in the hills and exploring nearby Crickhowell.
