Bijou Cottage in Brontë Country with Wood-burning Stove & Hot Tub Spa

Location perfect for getting away from it all . Hot tub good for relaxing . Decor inside makes it feel like a home

Making several trips downstairs iduring the night to use the bathroom . Also 3am wake up call from the Cockerell didn't fi d the earplugs till the last day

Lovely host, welcoming and friendly, had thought of everything we might need and more! Quirky cottage.. Loved the log burner, private outdoor space and super comfortable bed.

Sofa was a little uncomfortable, but lots of cushions helped.

I recently enjoyed a relaxing and memorable stay at the Bijou Cottage in the countryside, and I can’t recommend it enough. The cottage itself was beautifully presented—cosy, clean, and full of charm. It offered the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. One of the highlights was the hot tub, which provided the ideal way to unwind while enjoying the peaceful rural surroundings. The wood-burning stove added to the cottage’s warm, inviting atmosphere, especially in the evenings. It made the whole experience feel even more homely and special. The setting was tranquil and picturesque, with lovely views and a real sense of privacy. It was a perfect base for countryside walks and reconnecting with nature. Overall, the Bijou Cottage delivered everything I was hoping for and more. It’s a lovely retreat that I would gladly return to and highly recommend to anyone looking for a cosy countryside getaway.

The only minor disappointment was that the listing mentioned welcome baskets, which we were looking forward to, but they weren’t provided during our stay.

The location was beautiful, peaceful with opportunities for scenic walks round the reservoir or longer walks to the Bronte falls and surrounding moorland. The cottage was amazing, especially the wood burning fire and exceptional kitchen facilities. The bed was comfy and the hot tub was amazing.

A cosy cottage in a beautiful setting with countryside all around, great for relaxing in the hot tub and admiring the view. The cottage is well equipped, clean and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and responsive to queries.

Nothing to dislike about the cottage at all, our only slight misgiving is the road past Ponden Mill is very rough for a short length which might be difficult for very low vehicles. We have a "cat cage" fitted in our car and it did catch a couple of times but so long as you take it slowly it should be fine.

Absolutely gorgeous cottage in beautiful location. We had a wonderful time in this cosy, pretty cottage.

Water and shower pressure was quite low, which we expected as the water comes from a spring.

Charming cosy cottage in a beautiful quiet location with a very friendly and informative host. We only stayed a few nights but it felt like home; it's not one of those places with tons of signs stuck to every wall reminding you about lights and steps and electricity consumption and so on. Just a lovely cottage that's yours for the time you're there. Hope to stay again next year.
