Riad Dar La Rose

From the very beginning the hosts were very nice and hospitable. When we arrived they invited us for a cup of tea and sweets and showed us the main spots on a map plus some advice on currency exchanges. The room was cleaned and placed in order every single day. The picture which I've attached is from our last day and we'll, the room looked as if we just moved in every single day. It was super clean and fresh. The common areas were also quite well maintained and there was always a really nice smell. The breakfast was sufficient enough, I would even say it was big. Some people complained that it was mundane, but for me it was diverse enough that I didn't mind. We had eggs, bread, butter, honey, apricot jam, tea, coffee, pancake, orange juice every morning.

The only uncomfortable thing was how loud the prayer was. The one at 5am was bothering us the most. On the 3rd day I realized we were right next to a mosque and this explained everything.

Great place! Wonderful location, really responsive and polite staff, very comfortable at night for resting. The fact that it was off a nice quiet street really makes a difference after being in the busy medina all day.

L’accueil est parfait, l’équipe aux petits soins. Jamal est très agréable. L’emplacement est idéal. La literie est confortable, les petits déjeuners complets et variés (bon jus d’orange, thé à la menthe, miel, pain grillé…). La terrasse est appréciable.

Peut-être le manque de fenêtre (aération naturelle. Mais il y a une ventilation. L’eau chaude met beaucoup de temps à arriver.

Winding stairs with no handrails!. The facilities are pretty basic, but well looked after. Recommend for a few nights, but not a full week as Marrakech very busy. If you break it up by going to the desert would make for a better overall experience.

We had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the location is excellent, very close to the main attractions, which made exploring the area very convenient.

However, the cleanliness, maintenance, and breakfast quality could be improved, especially in the details. The rug in our room was dusty, and the mosaic table had black dirt left in the gaps. The tap at the sink was loose and only provided cold water, which was inconvenient. We also had to ask for a hairdryer, which we expected to be available in the room. The breakfast was disappointing. We were looking forward to real Moroccan coffee, but it had almost no coffee flavour. Some of the local breads offered were also quite basic in quality. In general, parts of the room and furnishings felt outdated and in need of a refresh. For the price we paid, we expected a higher standard of quality.
