2L De Volharding

De Volharding exceeded all my expectations. The view of the harbor is absolutely beautiful and gave my stay a calm, welcoming atmosphere. The owners are genuinely kind, positive and incredibly helpful, and their attitude makes a huge difference. I felt taken care of from the moment I arrived. The rooms are spotless and comfortable, and the whole place has a warm feeling that makes it easy to relax. I will definitely stay here again whenever I return to the city. Highly recommended 🦢

De locatie was top, maar daar is ook alles mee gezegd.

toen we aankwamen was het 10 graden in het appartement. Ook had ik het idee dat er 2 slaapkamers waren en dit was niet zo. de slaapbank kraakte enorm en je lag niet recht maar in een s-vorm. Daarnaast was het appartement niet schoon, maar erg stoffig. Vind ik erg matig voor 500 euro voor 2 nachten. Toen we belden waren ze ook niet erg klantvriendelijk.

De toegang tot de z.g loft,gangen donker en 40 treden, met een gemiddelde breedte van 22.5 cm en geen lift of hulp.

Perfecte locatie

Bij aankomst werkte de bel niet, we moesten eerst bellen naar de verhuurder om binnen te komen. Eenmaal binnen was er geen werkende verlichting dus was het lastig om via trap en buitenterras onze entree te vinden. Op het eerste gezicht was alles netjes en schoon, bij nader inzien was de rand van de douche bak vies en de bakjes in de besteklade hebben duidelijk een schoonmaakbeurt nodig. Kapstokhaakjes hangen zo hoog dat we er niet bij konden komen. Al met al kan het appartement wel een opfrisbeurt gebruiken.

You really can't beat the views at this location! The sunset each night over the boats was stunning. The place was clean, with lots of room to spread out (we are a family of 3). The bathroom was large and the shower had good pressure. The beds were comfy, even the sofa bed! It was nice to have access to a roof top patio and we couldn't hear the neighbours at all. You could not hear the restaurant downstairs either (the loudest part being when they put the furniture away at night). We kept the windows open during our stay and it was just a nice quiet chatter of friendly conversation from below. It was far enough away from downtown that the neighbourhood seemed quiet, but close enough to walk to everything!

This was a bare bones apartment. It could have used some throw blankets, pillows and another seating option in the living room to make it feel more cozy. As well, the stairs are very steep (no elevator). This was not an issue, just be forewarned. Having said that, I would absolutely stay here again! We loved it.
