Peaceful Lawley Home with Parking, Garden, Wi-Fi

The property was cosy a clean, a perfect base for exploring Shrewsbury & Telford.

You definitely need a car for staying in the area, there’s not much within walking distance.

We actually changed our booking to this house last minute because we wanted to upgrade our accommodation. So we paid double to what we had originally booked to pay. Upon arrival, as soon as we opened the front door we were met with a REALLY strong smell of spices - garam masala or something like that. It filled the entire hall, living room and kitchen. I thought it may be from the previous guests but it was evident that strong spices had been stored in the kitchen cupboards because the smell was much stronger inside them. Unfortunately this made everything downstairs smell and it made our hair and clothes smell strongly too. Even having all the windows and doors open during the time we were there. Some mugs looked like they had been put back unwashed and the kettle is in desperate need of descaling so we didn’t really make hot drinks. The kitchen looks quite grubby because there’s a giant section of the walls not painted in the white so at first glance it makes you wonder if it’s damp. It’s not it’s just been missed when painting. There’s only one large mirror that 5 of us had to share while getting ready. There are a few other really small ones though. Cutlery has seen better days. For the price paid, and the fact that we thought we were upgrading our accommodation it was pretty disappointing.
